WWE Reveals Major Injury Update on Rhea RipleyWWE Reveals Major Injury Update on Rhea Ripley

As a seasoned gamer and long-time wrestling fan, I’ve seen my fair share of injuries and storylines that test the mettle of our favorite superstars. The latest development with WWE’s Rhea Ripley is no exception. This girl can take a beating!

This week on NXT, fan-favorite wrestler Rhea Ripley was brutally assaulted, as depicted in the show. In a recent update from WWE, it has been disclosed that Ripley experienced a fracture in her right orbital socket due to the attack. Consequently, this injury is expected to keep her out of action for an unspecified duration. Viewers who watched NXT this week witnessed Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez leaving after viciously attacking Ripley, resulting in heavy bleeding and a swollen eye for Ripley.

As a devoted fan, I’m sharing an update based on recent information. WWE unveiled X-ray images of an injury one of their wrestlers sustained. And get this, Fightful confirms that these are authentic X-rays indeed. Ripley, the injured wrestler herself, posted the images with red circles marking the exact spot of her injury. She even had a pointed message for Morgan and Rodriguez: “Mistake no.1 You left me gasping.” If you want to see these revealing X-rays for yourself, they’re conveniently available here above.

The Rundown

If you missed this week’s NXT broadcast, you might be curious about what transpired with Ripley. This week’s show was entirely dedicated to the Women’s Division, with a notable scene featuring Zaria, Stephanie Vaquer, Guilia, Kelani Jordan, and Jordynne Grace facing off against Roxanne Perez, Cora Jade, and Fatal Influence members Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, and Jazmyn Nyx in the ring.

The confrontation among all ten women could potentially lead to a fight, which would then make NXT General Manager Ava Raine formalize a match involving all 10 women for the upcoming episode of NXT 2300. After dividing the teams, a later scene revealed the good-guy team huddling in their locker room, only to be surprised by Ripley. Ripley offered some motivational advice and cheered them on, while also being seen on social media, posing for pictures with Grace and Zaria.

Unfortunately, the enjoyable moments didn’t last long as Ripley encountered trouble with her vehicle. This recent event marks another chapter in the ongoing struggle between Ripley and Morgan, who have been at odds for some time. The animosity between Morgan and Ripley is likely to escalate from here, as this will be the second instance where Morgan has left Ripley incapacitated.

The Return

The previous incident involved Ripley being struck by a flying chair offstage, which caused him quite a delay in returning. During this absence, Morgan made a play for Dominik Mysterio, and eventually succeeded in winning his affection. However, it took some time and effort. When Ripley returned, he took revenge on Mysterio by brutally attacking him with a kendo stick while he was suspended from a cage by a chain. Nevertheless, Morgan managed to secure the victory in that match due to a distraction.

It appears that the ideal spot for character Ripley’s comeback could be the Royal Rumble event. In the meantime, Morgan and Rodriguez can engage in feuds with other wrestlers while Ripley recovers, with brief video segments here and there to keep the story engaging. If Ripley does return at the Royal Rumble, it could reignite the storyline as WWE approaches WrestleMania. However, this is all speculation, so we’ll just have to be patient and find out for sure.

We wish Ripley all the best and a speedy recovery.
