WWE Shocks the World as John Cena Turns Heel and Betrays Cody Rhodes

In the last match of WWE Elimination Chamber, Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre began the fight while CM Punk, Damian Priest, Logan Paul, and John Cena waited in pods. After exciting eliminations, only three remained – Seth Rollins, John Cena, and CM Punk. They teamed up to eliminate Rollins, but in an unexpected twist, it was Rollins who managed to win by taking advantage of the situation with Cena’s help. Later, he faced off against Cody Rhodes, and then The Rock made his appearance. In a shocking turn of events, John Cena turned into a villain (heel) and joined forces with The Rock, brutally attacking Rhodes.

The final bout at WWE Elimination Chamber pitted Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre against each other initially, while CM Punk, Damian Priest, Logan Paul, and John Cena prepared in pods. After some nail-biting eliminations, only three competitors remained – Seth Rollins, John Cena, and CM Punk. They strategized to eliminate Rollins, but the tables turned when he managed to win by exploiting the situation with Cena’s assistance. Later on, Rollins squared off against Cody Rhodes, followed by The Rock’s entrance. In a surprising plot twist, John Cena transformed into an antagonist (heel) and partnered with The Rock, ruthlessly assaulting Rhodes.

From the beginning, Rollins and McIntyre showed no affection towards each other, instead displaying a high level of hostility. This aggressive behavior eventually led to Rollins forcefully pushing McIntyre into Punk’s pod on several occasions, which brought Punk great joy. However, McIntyre retaliated by ramming Rollins’ head into the exposed steel of the turnbuckle.

In this wrestling contest, it was Damian Priest who made his entry as the third competitor. He promptly engaged in conflict with McIntyre. For a brief moment, Priest gained momentum and took charge, but ultimately all three combatants ended up defeated when the fourth participant, Logan Paul, entered the ring. Logically targeting McIntyre, Paul then attempted to pin Priest, but he managed to survive. Following this, Paul focused his efforts on Rollins, attempting a pin as well, though Rollins also avoided being pinned.

Afterward, the priest disciplined Paul harshly by ramming him into the pod’s wall and the cage side. Next, Rollins delivered a powerful superkick to Paul. It was now John Cena’s chance, and he began by attacking Rollins before executing an AA on the priest and a strong slam on Paul. Cena followed up with another AA for Rollins and then attempted the five-knuckle shuffle on Paul, successfully landing it.

At first, Cena executed an AA on Paul, but McIntyre retaliated with a powerful claymore. Suddenly, Priest knocked out McIntyre, causing him to erupt in anger and strike Priest with another claymore before exiting the ring. This left Priest exposed, allowing Paul to climb up the ramp and perform a frog splash on an unsuspecting Priest, eliminating him from the match.

At last, Punk stepped onto the battlefield, swiftly assaulting Paul with various suplexes on the floor. He forcefully slammed Paul into the pod repeatedly and later hurled him against the cage wall too. A confrontation between Punk and Cena ensued in the ring, but Rollins interfered, standing up to Cena, asserting that Punk belonged to him and he should focus on making more films instead.

Initially, Paul was set to rejoin the action, but a GTS (Grand Slam) took him out of the contest, leaving only Punk, Rollins, and Cena in the ring. Although Rollins wasn’t eliminated, it was Cena and Punk who joined forces to take him down. Afterward, Cena offered a handshake to Punk, but instead, they embraced, leading to a fight. The duel saw Cena knocking Punk down, only for Punk to retaliate with a counterattack. They exchanged counters skillfully, managing to evade each other’s finishing moves.

Later, Cena applied the STF to Punk in the middle of the ring, but Punk managed to reverse it with the Anaconda Vice instead. Rollins struggled to his feet, only to be knocked down again by Punk. In response, Cena grabbed Punk and executed the AA, coming very close to eliminating him. Seizing the opportunity, Rollins picked up Cena, slammed his back against the cage wall, and then hurled him over the pod barrier, enabling him to concentrate on Punk once more.

In a close call, Punk almost pinned Rollins down with a move, but Rollins managed to retaliate using a pedigree. However, Punk miraculously survived. Rollins attempted a superplex next, but Punk thwarted it and followed up with an elbow drop. It seemed like Punk was preparing for the GTS, but Rollins executed a buckle bomb first, then a curb stomp. Remarkably, Punk once again found a way to evade defeat.

In the end, Cena managed to grab hold of Rollins, but failed to execute an AA. Instead, Punk delivered a GTS to Rollins followed by Cena’s AA. Punk pinned Rollins, eliminating him, leaving only two competitors. Punk attempted another GTS, but Cena survived. Cena retaliated with the AA and went for a pin, but again Punk evaded defeat. Later, Rollins unleashed a curb stomp on Punk before exiting the ring. Seizing the opportunity, Cena applied the STF to Punk. As Rollins continued his taunts urging Punk to die, a remorseful Cena held on until Punk succumbed, making Cena victor of the Men’s Chamber match and setting up his encounter with Cody Rhodes.

After that, it was Rhodes’ turn to step forward for a face-to-face encounter with The Rock. Prior to their meeting, Cena extended a friendly greeting to Rhodes, remaining inside the ring with him as The Rock and Travis Scott approached. The Rock then declared it was time, and he anticipated a brotherly hug from Rhodes, who would reciprocate as his Champion. “I crave it all, Cody,” The Rock said, “I want your thoughts, I want your essence, and I pray for mercy, I require your essence. If the response is affirmative, then the American Nightmare will endure forever. Look me straight in the eyes. If your answer is negative, then tonight, the dream shall perish once more.

In the end, Rhodes responded, saying, “Rock, I want it all. My spirit is no longer mine to keep. You know why? Because I surrendered my spirit to this ring, and to these people, long ago. Rock, may you find your own peace.” The crowd erupted in cheers, but then the scene shifted dramatically. Cena moved to console Rhodes, but suddenly everything changed. Cena gazed at The Rock who signaled back, and in a shocking twist that no one saw coming, Cena transformed into a villain and assaulted Rhodes with a sneaky blow below the belt.

Later, Cena delivered a watch blow to Rhodes and followed it up by slamming the Championship onto him, injuring Rhodes and causing him to bleed in the wrestling ring. Scott and Cena restrained Rhodes as Rock assaulted him repeatedly with Cody’s Soul weight belt, leaving the crowd in a state of shock. Cena is not only playing the villainous role but has allied himself with The Rock, making Rhodes’ path to WrestleMania an arduous one indeed.
