WWE Star Believes Becky Lynch is “Retired” Amidst Wrestling Hiatus

WWE Star Believes Becky Lynch is "Retired" Amidst Wrestling Hiatus

As a seasoned gamer of the squared circle, I’ve seen it all – from Hulkamania to Attitude Era, and everything in between. And now, watching Becky Lynch’s current predicament is like witnessing a modern-day tragedy unfold before my very eyes.

The future of professional wrestling for Becky Lynch is unclear at the moment. Previously crowned as the main event of WWE WrestleMania, she held the WWE Women’s World Championship earlier this year after Rhea Ripley had to surrender it due to injury. However, her reign lasted only 33 days before losing it to Liv Morgan during the WWE King and Queen of the Ring event. The following Monday on WWE Monday Night Raw, Lynch demanded a rematch against Morgan within a steel cage, but failed in her attempt. Since then, her contract with WWE has expired, and she has not made an appearance on their programming since.

The WWE Women’s World Champion is putting permanence on Becky Lynch’s wrestling future.

In an interview on the show “Rusic and Rose,” WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan expressed her delight over her recent achievements, particularly mentioning that she “effectively ended the career of Lynch” in the earlier part of this year.

Morgan expressed immense joy and pride. She’s savoring every moment and aiming to make each achievement count. As a two-time world champion, tag team champion, Money in the Bank winner, and the one who sent Becky Lynch into retirement, she’s incredibly content. In the past two years, she’s been the only one to defeat Rhea Ripley, and she has Daddy Dom. Needless to say, Morgan is overjoyed.

Earlier this summer, I, Becky Lynch, stirred retirement speculations on social media by discussing my in-ring career in the past tense and emphasizing my role as a mother now. My husband Seth Rollins and I welcomed our precious daughter into the world in December 2020. After that, I took a break of about eight months from WWE programming before making a comeback on TV in August 2021. Prior to this break, I had been a full-time WWE star, seldom taking extended absences.

This month, we had a chat with Lyra Valkyria, a past adversary and student of Lynch, and she expressed doubts about Lynch’s future plans.

Valkyria remarked, “Becky seems distant; she appears to be guarding her thoughts closely.” So, it’s hard to predict her actions at this point.

There are whispers suggesting that Lynch might consider joining All Elite Wrestling in the future. At the moment, it’s unconfirmed as there haven’t been any reported discussions between them yet.
