As a lifelong wrestling enthusiast who has seen my fair share of matches, I must say that the clash between Jordynne Grace and Karmen Petrovic was an absolute treat! The raw power and skill on display made me reminisce about the glory days of wrestling.
Tonight on Impact, TNA’s Knockouts Champion issued an open challenge, which brought a crossover between TNA and WWE NXT. Stepping up to answer was Arianna Grace, but instead of facing Grace herself, she presented Karmen Petrovic as the challenger. Despite a strong effort from Petrovic, Grace proved too formidable for the rising NXT star, keeping her Knockouts Championship. Afterward, as the lights went out, a pillow next to Grace hinted that Wendy Choo, a rather intimidating figure in NXT, will be her opponent on the following week’s show.
An NXT Challenge
Initially, Petrovic started aggressively and troubled the Champion. However, Grace displayed her strong prowess by delivering a powerful spine buster followed by a cover, but Petrovic managed to survive with a kickout at 2. Later, Petrovic attempted a roundhouse kick, but her leg was swept back, forcing her to protect herself as Jordynne sought to end the match.
As Grace hoisted Petrovic onto the ropes, the opponent managed to push Grace off the ring and execute a stunning cross-body move. However, the strike that followed missed its mark, and Grace took advantage of the error, delivering a powerful Juggernaut Driver that concluded the championship battle.
Lights Out
However, it wasn’t the complete truth, for when Grace went to rejoice, the lights abruptly flickered out, leaving everyone puzzled about the cause. Rosemary, who had been observing the entire game from the higher tier, was suspected by some as a possible assailant of Grace. But upon the lights regaining power, Rosemary remained in her spot up above and Grace lay unconscious on the floor.
As a devoted fan, I couldn’t help but notice the peculiar presence of Wendy Choo’s signature pillow sitting by Grace in the ring during the latest NXT event. This was quite intriguing, given that Wendy used to carry this pillow before her supernatural shift. It appears now that Rosemary has been aiding Wendy, and it seems Wendy is reciprocating the support by targeting one of Rosemary’s adversaries as well.
This hints strongly at who Grace may encounter when she takes up an open challenge in NXT next week, as she mentioned last week’s episode. Regardless of whether Grace fights Choo directly, it’s likely that both Choo and Rosemary will influence the events of next week in some way, and we’re eagerly anticipating how things unfold.
