As a long-time wrestling fan who has seen it all, from the Attitude Era to the Ruthless Aggression and beyond, the news of Charlotte Flair’s imminent return to WWE after over a year’s absence is like Christmas coming early! It feels like I’ve been waiting for this moment since the day she went down with an injury.
As a die-hard wrestling fan, I can’t contain my excitement! After 16 long years, Saturday Night’s Main Event is back on TV this weekend on NBC, and the lineup looks incredible with numerous chances for Championship Gold. But here’s what really has me buzzing – word on the street is that Charlotte Flair could be making her comeback during the show! According to WrestleVotes, insiders are hinting at an imminent return, and it seems The Queen herself might grace us with her presence for the first time in over a year this Saturday Night. What’s even more intriguing is that creative has reportedly already discussed her return, so keep your eyes peeled – Charlotte Flair might just make her triumphant return to the WWE this weekend!
According to sources, it appears that Charlotte Flair may be making a comeback very soon, potentially even this weekend on NBC. It’s been hinted that the team responsible for the show’s planning started working on how to present her return as early as this week.
A Long-Awaited Return
Initially, it seemed as though my life had reached its end, but with a chuckle, Flair expressed this. “With my husband [Andrade] returning to the company or on his way back, and about to make his debut soon,” she continued, “I knew I’d be facing a perfect storm of events. Ever since I was injured, I’ve been telling myself that I will return stronger than ever as The Queen, and when I do return, you won’t want to miss it, because nobody wants to be out due to an injury.
Flair expressed that he’s unsure if he would have stepped back without the injury, making it difficult, but a struggle he believes will ultimately improve him over time.
The New Title Scene
If Flair appears at Saturday Night’s Main Event, it will be intriguing to know her position in the event and who she engages first. The lineup includes a Women’s World Championship battle between Liv Morgan and Iyo Sky, and given that Morgan is embroiled in an ongoing feud with Rhea Ripley, Flair’s return could potentially tie into this ongoing conflict, suggesting a future role for her within the feud.
There’s a strong possibility that this idea could succeed, but when Flair was with WWE previously, she was on the SmackDown roster. Currently, Morgan holds the Women’s World Championship on Raw. Introducing Flair to the event would undoubtedly add more excitement, and if she does appear in the arena, it would surely elicit a massive reaction from the crowd.
The good news is there are two more Women’s Championships in the mix since she was last in WWE, with both the Women’s United States Title and the Women’s Intercontinental Title in play. Having Flair be a part of either one would instantly provide a legitimate threat, and would also allow her to take on some new opponents as well.
