WWE: Where to Find Weekly Shows, Special Events, Past Episodes, and More

WWE: Where to Find Weekly Shows, Special Events, Past Episodes, and More

As a seasoned gamer who has witnessed the evolution of WWE since its inception, I must say this latest chapter is nothing short of thrilling! The Triple H era has indeed seen exponential growth and success, and it’s fascinating to see how the landscape is constantly changing.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel thrilled about the new phases WWE’s Triple H era is venturing into. It’s an exciting time as some of our beloved programs like SmackDown, currently in its new era on USA Network, and NXT, soon to be on its new network, are setting sail. Monday Night Raw will follow suit at the start of next year, moving to a fresh venue. Adding to this, NBC is now joining the WWE family with Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Monday Night Raw

In brief, earlier this year, WWE signed an extraordinary agreement that will transfer Monday Night Raw to streaming giant Netflix, starting from January 1st, 2025. Certain aspects of the Netflix deal are yet to be disclosed, such as how commercials will be integrated and what level of content beyond PG can be shown. However, the date is set in stone, marking a significant shift for the staple of cable TV.

NXT

Currently, all WWE shows are broadcasted on USA Network. However, while “Raw” remains there until January, “NXT” is set to relocate in about a fortnight, beginning October 1st, exclusively on The CW. Despite the move, it seems that the fundamental aspects of NXT will remain unchanged. Similar to Raw, some adjustments may be made to older episodes and their post-broadcast locations.

As of now, you can still catch old episodes of NXT on Peacock. However, starting October 1, 2024, Peacock will stop carrying the NXT library of older episodes, and new episodes won’t be available after a month. Similar to Raw, NXT will display a countdown clock to inform viewers about this change. The location for viewing new episodes of NXT on The CW is currently undetermined, but it might potentially be accessible through The CW’s official app. Regarding special episodes like Great American Bash, they will air on The CW as they did on USA Network. On the other hand, premium live events such as Halloween Havoc will continue to stream live on Peacock.

SmackDown

SmackDown kicked off its exciting new chapter on USA Network, featuring Cody Rhodes and the comeback of Roman Reigns among other highlights. This marks the start of a five-year contract between WWE and USA Network, as SmackDown finds its new home after spending years at FOX.

Saturday Night’s Main Event

As a dedicated fan, I can’t contain my excitement about the latest addition to the WWE family! This new venture, named Saturday Night’s Main Event, is part of an exciting deal between WWE and NBC Universal. Four special Saturday Night’s Main Event shows will be produced annually, airing on NBC prime-time, with the first one set for December 14th. It’s a fantastic opportunity to witness more epic wrestling action!

NXT Level Up and WWE Speed

Moving on from discussing major productions, let’s delve into two other current shows: NXT Level Up, which airs every Friday on Peacock, showcasing some of the freshest talents in NXT. This program serves as an excellent platform for newcomers to shine before they make it to NXT TV. However, due to the recent deal between NXT and CW, it’s uncertain whether this show will be affected. As of now, WWE hasn’t provided any updates regarding its status, so we can only wait and find out.

A newer entrant to WWE’s programming lineup is WWE Speed, airing exclusively on channel X. This show borrows heavily from the format of X and offers fast-paced, 3-minute matches that are streamed every Wednesday on the same channel. Additionally, WWE has launched the WWE Speed Championships, which include a Women’s Championship being contested in a tournament currently.

Premium Live Events (Through Rest of 2024)

  • Bad Blood – October 5th
  • NXT Halloween Havoc – October 27th
  • Crown Jewel – November 2nd
  • Survivor Series: WarGames – November 30th
