WWE WrestleMania 41: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin Anticipates Attending, Unsure of Involvement

As a seasoned gamer of the squared circle with over three decades under my belt, witnessing “Stone Cold” Steve Austin grace the stage once again at WrestleMania 38 was nothing short of exhilarating. The Texas Rattlesnake’s return to action brought back fond memories of the Attitude Era and made me feel like a kid in a candy store all over again.

As a die-hard fan and self-proclaimed Rattlesnake, I’ve been left wondering if “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is really hanging up his boots for good. After an extended break from the squared circle, he made a triumphant return at WWE WrestleMania 38 in April 2022, squaring off against Kevin Owens on Night 1’s main event. The following day, he delivered one more iconic Stunner to my old rival, Vince McMahon. The electrifying comeback ignited discussions about his wrestling future within the WWE, as rumors swirled that they were proposing matches against Roman Reigns and John Cena. However, two years on since WrestleMania 38, nothing has materialized.

The face of the Attitude Era will be at Allegiant Stadium.

In simple terms, Stone Cold Steve Austin, a WWE Hall of Famer, told Fox News Digital that he plans to be present at WWE WrestleMania 39 in April of next year.

Austin, who hails from Nevada, remarked, “It’s approximately a 400-mile drive,” he added. “Given that I frequently travel to Las Vegas, the idea that WWE’s major pay-per-view event is 400 miles within my own state feels significant. I’m planning to attend and make a few appearances, as well as promote my beer there.”

As for actively participating in the WWE, Austin explained that ultimately depends on those in charge within the WWE.

If WWE were to suggest an opportunity, and it seemed reasonable, I would gladly participate, Austin added.

Austin has not been a regular wrestler, but he’s frequently made unique appearances at WrestleMania events. For instance, he acted as the special referee for Michael Cole versus Jerry Lawler during WrestleMania 27, had a beer party with Hulk Hogan and The Rock at WrestleMania 30, and even took on The New Day at WrestleMania 32.

At WWE WrestleMania 38, Austin looked back on his match and admitted that he tried to return to his old self, wearing trunks and all, but it hadn’t worked out as planned. Two years prior, he attempted something new, but lacked the ring experience to practice effectively. Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, and Triple H were all spot-on with their observations: his body wasn’t prepared for the intensity of the match, his timing was off due to inactivity, and he hadn’t stepped into a ring for 20 years, leaving him uncertain about his abilities.
