As a veteran gamer of the WWE universe, I’ve seen my fair share of tag team battles, but tonight’s main event was something truly special. The energy in the NXT arena was electric as Chase U took on Axiom and Frazer for the Tag Team Championships.
In tonight’s main event of WWE NXT, the WWE NXT Tag Team Championships were at stake. For Chase U, this was essentially their final opportunity to claim the Titles for the near future. The team consisted of Andre Chase and Ridge Holland, who faced off against Champions Axiom and Nathan Frazer, who had a history of conflicts but appeared to be in agreement this time around. During the match, Axiom and Frazer momentarily avoided attacking each other, only to execute their finishing move and secure the victory. However, Chase U refused to submit, leading to an intense series of actions where Holland and Chase teamed up to perform their own finisher on Axiom, clinching the win. As a result, Chase U are now the new NXT Tag Team Champions, sparking a grand celebration among the fans as they displayed their Titles in the ring.
Champs in Control
I found myself going head-to-head against Axiom, and I was the one who initiated the action with a swift cover attempt that Axiom swiftly disrupted. Axiom retaliated with a dropkick, bringing in Frazer who was circling the ring at breakneck speed until Holland intervened, sending him crashing to the mat. Frazer managed to evade a slam and then Axiom tagged himself back in, unleashing a super kick on Holland followed by a powerful slam on me.
In this scene, Axiom swiftly charged through and sent Chase crashing onto the floor. Following close behind, Axiom also knocked Holland to the floor, allowing the Champs to dominate the ring. Later, after things calmed down, Frazer and Chase tagged in, with Frazer making two rapid pin attempts, but Chase managed to avoid them both. In an attempt to control the pace, Frazer used a hold, but then Chase delivered a massive clothesline, putting the Champ on the ground.
In the match, Axiom and Frazer were both tagged in following Holland’s entry, but it was Holland who dominated the scene. He knocked Axiom down twice consecutively and did the same to Frazer. Holland then delivered a massive DDT to Axiom for a near fall, only for Axiom to save himself by raising his shoulder just in time. In an attempt to create some distance, Axiom kicked Holland back, followed by another kick in the corner. Subsequently, Axiom attempted a high splash, while Frazer went for his 450. Remarkably, Holland was able to kick out of the pin before the three-count could be made.
Chase U Will Not Be Denied
In this contest, The Champs aggressively approached Holland, yet Holland managed to fell Frazer and propel Axiom into their corner. Subsequently, Chase entered the fray, attempting a cover move, but at the brink of defeat, Frazer miraculously saved the match. Unfortunately, Holland was subsequently knocked out at ringside by Frazer. Chase then ascended, only to be struck by a head-kick from Axiom. In a surprising twist, Frazer recovered and returned to the ring, while Holland also reentered the arena. Moments later, Axiom nearly kicked Frazer, but they showed restraint and inadvertently knocked out Holland instead.
In the match between Frazer, Chase, and Axiom, Frazer executed a massive superplex on Chase, which Axiom followed by pinning him down. However, somehow, Chase managed to kick out. After that, Axiom struck Chase with swift kicks, but Chase skillfully grabbed his leg and retaliated with some powerful chops. In response to one of Chase’s moves, Axiom was met with a clothesline, but he immediately fought back with a heavy boot. Unfortunately for Frazer, he missed his next move, allowing Holland to catch him for a powerful powerbomb combination with Chase. Holland managed to pin Frazer, but just in time, Frazer raised his right shoulder, keeping their Title reign alive.
Frazer delivered a kick to Holland, followed by Axiom executing a head kick as part of their finishing move. This left Holland vulnerable to a Spanish fly from Axiom. Meanwhile, Frazer was caught mid-air by Chase and slammed onto the commentary table, putting him out of action. Axiom then attacked Chase with a powerful kick before focusing on Holland once more. However, he met resistance when Holland countered with a clothesline. In the end, Holland landed an DDT, pinned his opponent, and secured both the victory and the NXT Tag Team Championship title for himself and Chase. The duo celebrated their win in the ring, marking them as the new champions of NXT.
