As a lifelong wrestling fan, I can’t help but feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins as SummerSlam approaches! The match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa for the Undisputed WWE Championship under Bloodline Rules is shaping up to be an epic showdown.
At SummerSlam, Cody Rhodes must conquer The Bloodline again, but this isn’t the same Bloodline he battled to claim the Undisputed WWE Championship. This time, instead of Roman Reigns, he will grapple with the recently crowned Tribal Chief, Solo Sikoa. Sikoa has enlisted a fresh team to reclaim the Titles that The Bloodline previously held. Tonight’s SmackDown showcased the final encounter between Rhodes and Sikoa before SummerSlam, during which Rhodes made it abundantly clear that while he will confront The Bloodline once more, he holds no regard for Sikoa or his Title. In response, Sikoa called out Rhodes to a match following Bloodline Rules, similar to the one they had at WrestleMania. After taking a dig at every other member of The Bloodline, Rhodes accepted Sikoa’s challenge.
Self Appointed Tribal Chief
Rhodes remarked, “I can see the chip on your shoulder. You’re like a little brother, aren’t you? Well, I’m one too. It hasn’t been easy for you trying to become the Tribal Chief and achieve what you desire. From afar, I almost admire your determination. But let me tell you something, once all the spectacle that Bloodline is known for ends, there’s an old saying in wrestling: The bell will toll, and when it does, you’ll discover that you have nothing to lose while I have everything at stake…” Sikoa interrupted him, saying, “Are you finished? Because you’re wasting my time, and I’m running out of patience right now. Just like your title reign, tomorrow night at SummerSlam.” However, Rhodes wasn’t quite done yet.
“I haven’t finished yet, and it seems you’ve self-proclaimed yourself as the Tribal Chief. Here I am, the genuine WWE Champion, ruling supreme in WWE. I occupy a throne, a throne I once shattered, and I sit here deeply indebted emotionally to those who helped me achieve my dreams – individuals like Randy Orton, Kevin Owens. If I lose at SummerSlam, if I lose to you, I won’t be able to repay that debt. I want to repay those men with a price paid in blood. Just as I did to your relative Roman Reigns during the bloodline match at WrestleMania,” Rhodes declared.
Bloodline Rules
In a conversational style: “Sikoa commented, ‘It’s always about the bloodline for you, right? You keep harping on that point. Remember when you defeated him at WrestleMania, he was a weak Tribal Chief. But let me tell you something, I’m not weak, Cody. In fact, I’m quite the opposite – I’m dangerous. Tomorrow night at SummerSlam, I plan to demonstrate just how dangerous I can be. How about we back up your words with action? Let’s make tomorrow a rematch of the bloodline rules match.’ Suddenly, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa emerged from the crowd to encircle the ring.”
As a passionate fan, let me rephrase that statement: Directly addressing each member of The Bloodline, including Fatu, I boldly declared, “I’m not intimidated by any of you, even if you are a fool! Tomorrow night at SummerSlam in Cleveland, if you dare to propose a Bloodline Rules match, it might not be the wisest choice I’ve ever made, but it’s the only option left. I accept the challenge. Since the Tribal Chief isn’t here, I’ll take on the pretender instead.”
