As a seasoned wrestling enthusiast who’s seen it all from the golden days of Hulk Hogan to the current NXT era, this latest twist in the Kelani Jordan vs Wendy Choo saga had me on the edge of my seat! The surprise entry of TNA’s very own Rosemary added a new layer of excitement to the mix.
Over the past few weeks, Kelani Jordan has been embroiled in a heated rivalry with Wendy Choo. They will clash for the NXT Women’s North American Championship at No Mercy. Before that, however, Choo had a surprise up her sleeve for Jordan on tonight’s NXT. Jordan challenged Choo, and the mystery opponent was then unveiled – none other than TNA star Rosemary! The two battled it out in a non-title match, with Jordan emerging victorious. However, Choo had the last say before the episode ended.
Surprise TNA Showdown
Following Rosemary’s disclosure, Jordan was undeniably taken aback and felt a tinge of fear, while Rosemary landed the initial offensive move, ramming Jordan into the corner post of the turnbuckle. The Champion then executed a dropkick on Rosemary, followed promptly by a powerful crossbody from Jordan for a pin attempt. However, Rosemary managed to escape the hold soon after one count.
In this match, Rosemary applied a submission maneuver near the ropes and inflicted some harm on the Champion. After that, she rushed forward with a powerful forearm strike and subsequently performed a slam before attempting a pin. However, the Champ managed to kick out after just one count. Continuing her offensive, Rosemary attempted another submission move but Jordan skillfully prevented it from fully taking effect and escaped. The two combatants then exchanged blows in the middle of the ring, with Jordan eventually landing a swift kick to the head that knocked down the challenger.
Big Win, Bad Ending
In the wrestling bout, Jordan stood up and tripped Rosemary twice, followed by a powerful back elbow strike. She then attempted a kick, but Rosemary blocked it. However, Rosemary took a dropkick, seemingly unfazed, and retaliated with a spear as Jordan was preparing for a leap from the ropes. Rosemary pinned Jordan, but Jordan managed to kick free. Rosemary sent Jordan flying backwards, but Jordan retaliated by slamming her down before executing a moonsault, securing the victory and the match for herself.
An evil laugh was heard around the ring and Choo’s face was on all the screens around the ring, which allowed Choo to catch her in a submission and knock her out in the middle of the ring. Choo held Jordan’s Title and gave fans a possible preview of what they might see on Sunday. Now Jordan will face Choo at No Mercy for the Title, and you can find the full No Mercy card below.
