After four thrilling matches, it was Andrade who finally clinched the victory in a fiercely contested battle last night.

On numerous occasions of WWE SmackDown, the contest between Carmelo Hayes and Andrade has been a standout, with their series currently tied at 2-2 after four bouts. Last week, they both got involved with LA Knight, setting up tonight’s decisive match that would not only crown the series winner but also determine Knight’s challenger for the United States Championship. Initially, Hayes attacked with a harsh chop and hurled Andrade over the edge, yet it was Andrade who retaliated by shoving Hayes down following a collision with the barricade. Andrade continued to attack Hayes on the ground, climbing onto the barricade, where an unexpected Spanish fly sent them both tumbling down. It took some time for Hayes to rise again, but he quickly regained his footing and attempted a cover move, though Andrade managed to kick out before the count of 2.

In this wrestling match, Hayes secured Andrade’s arm and shoulder before delivering a series of elbow strikes while kneeling down. Andrade retaliated with punches to the head and chest chops, but his counter-elbow strike missed mark and instead hit the turnbuckle. Eager for victory, Hayes attempted a pin but Andrade managed to kick out swiftly. In response, Hayes seized an opportunity to apply a submission hold on Andrade’s arm and shoulder right in the center of the ring.

In the course of their fierce battle, Andrade managed to push past Hayes and momentarily stunned him. However, they both collided forcefully and tumbled onto the mat. This happened again, causing them to fall once more. As the fight continued, Hayes landed a hit on the First 48 but was countered by a powerful spinning back elbow from Andrade. In an attempt to secure victory, Andrade leaped up to the top rope, but ended up taking a double knee strike instead. Despite this, Hayes attempted a pin on Andrade, but he miraculously managed to kick out in time.

A Thrilling Finale

In the bout, Hayes leaped high to attempt a Nothing but Net shot, yet fell short and connected with the Destroyer instead, sending both combatants tumbling down. Andrade executed a double knee strike in a corner and attempted a pin, only for Hayes to clutch the bottom rope before the referee could count to three. Hayes retaliated by pounding on Andrade’s head, prompting the latter to ascend once more. However, Hayes managed to evade Andrade’s split leg moonsault and landed a side kick instead. In return, Hayes was seized and hurled back to the canvas. Another kick from Hayes ensued, but he was soon felled by it, securing Andrade the victory and the series at 3 – 2.

It was then when LA Knight emerged and spoke to the audience. He congratulated Andrade and jokingly mentioned that he had won a contest to receive a sound beating, which LA Knight confirmed would be arranged by Nick Aldis. The match for the United States Championship between Andrade and LA Knight on next week’s SmackDown has officially been set.
