As I sat down to watch Saturday Night’s Main Event, I was eagerly anticipating the electrifying clash between the titans of the ring. But it was Liv Morgan and Iyo Sky who truly stole the show! Their match was a rollercoaster ride of power, precision, and sheer determination.
The Saturday Night’s Main Event opened with an exciting clash between Sami Zayn and Drew McIntyre, followed by the first title bout of the evening featuring Liv Morgan against Iyo Sky. From the get-go, it was clear that Sky wasn’t going to let this chance slip away, dominating a significant portion of the match from the start. She kept Morgan off-balance with suplexes and dropkicks, but Morgan timed her attacks perfectly to exploit Sky’s errors and seize control. Despite receiving a kick to the face that could have fractured her nose, Morgan managed to secure the victory, retaining her title and immediately facing off against Rhea Ripley.
At the start, Morgan remained as self-assured as usual, but Sky swiftly demonstrated reasons for Morgan to harbor some apprehension. Knocking the Champion from the ring, Sky followed up with an impressive move off the ring apron, sending Morgan crashing to the ground below. Following a commercial break, Sky maintained dominance, delivering another blow to the Champion with a risky suicide dive that once more sent her tumbling back to the floor.
After a missile-like dropkick, Sky attempted a cover, but Morgan skillfully dodged it and countered with a kick. Subsequently, Morgan executed a move called “codebreaker” and followed it up with another cover. However, Sky managed to escape again by kicking out.
Even though Sky appeared to be in a tough spot, she responded swiftly with consecutive German Suplexes. Following that, she landed a third one and attempted a pin, but Morgan managed to kick out at two. Leveraging a small mistake from Sky, Morgan came close to winning, but Sky managed to hang on.
Sky used a crossface hold followed by a knee strike to Morgan’s face, successfully executing the Bullet Train Attack this time which enabled him to perform a moonsault. However, Morgan managed to defend herself using her boots and retaliated with an Oblivion move for the pin and the victory. Despite suffering a nosebleed, she proudly displayed her Championship in triumph.
The evening wasn’t done for her yet. As Rhea Ripley emerged, she joined forces with Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Dominik Mysterio near the entrance. Upon reaching Morgan, Ripley approached her and they stood eye to eye. Ripley reminded Morgan of her desire to reclaim the Title in their upcoming encounter.
