As a huge fan of Logan Paul, I have been absolutely blown away by his rapid rise in the world of wrestling entertainment. His background in MMA with his brother Jake was just the beginning of an incredible journey that has seen him go head-to-head with some of the biggest names in the sport.
Logan Paul has been making waves in the sports entertainment scene for just two years now, having previously explored mixed martial arts (MMA) with his brother Jake Paul prior to signing with a wrestling organization. The catalyst for his entry into the sport was a challenge from fellow YouTube sensation KSI, leading to a draw in their first fight and a split decision loss in their rematch. In October 2023, Paul secured his first win against Dillon Danis. Despite focusing more on wrestling lately, he has not ruled out the possibility of returning to the MMA world.
Will Logan Paul Ever Go Back to MMA?
Paul shared with Fred Talks Fighting that he would only consider returning to boxing for a match that truly captivates him. He expressed no interest in doing so and felt content with his current role in WWE as the United States champion, excelling more in wrestling than in boxing.
I’m thrilled to share that at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam in my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, I, Paul, will be defending the United States Championship against “The Megastar” LA Knight. Our encounter went from heated words on WWE SmackDown to a physical altercation when I surprised him with an attack from behind. Being part of this esteemed group of champions, which includes the likes of John Cena, Bobby Lashley, Sheamus, AJ Styles, and Dolph Ziggler, is truly an honor.
Since his victory against Rey Mysterio in November 2020, Paul has been proudly defending the championship title. He’s thrilled about this achievement, which marked his first championship win during his career. However, he’s far from complacent and is determined to hold onto it for as long as possible. In May, he dared to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship but unfortunately came up short. Regardless, Paul continues to make headlines as an inspiring example of successful crossovers from Hollywood to professional wrestling.
In the past two years, Paul has participated in only 14 wrestling matches for WWE but has left indelible marks at significant events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, King and Queen of the Ring, Elimination Chamber, the Royal Rumble, and Crown Jewel. Outside the ring, Paul’s accomplishments are equally noteworthy: he hosts a popular podcast named Impaulsive that features interviews with major figures, and manages a successful energy drink company, Prime.
