As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming experience under my belt, I must say that the Global Superstars Pack for WWE 2K24 has truly outdone itself this time! Seeing Lyra Valkyria make her video game debut is nothing short of breathtaking, and it’s a journey that takes me back to my days working in a video game shop, where I spent countless hours labeling 2K games.
The long-awaited WWE 2K24 Global Superstars Pack has arrived, introducing a host of eagerly awaited superstars to the roster. Among them is Lyra Valkyria, a Monday Night Raw star who is not only making her debut in WWE 2K24 but also her first appearance in any WWE video game. This newcomer is in esteemed company, as she joins the ranks of Jade Cargill, Nia Jax, Carlito, Kairi Sane, Michelle McCool, and Dragon Lee. In an exclusive interview with ComicBook, we discussed Valkyria’s video game debut and learned about her dream DLC match-up as well as which fan-created gear she hopes to see in the game first.
A Stellar Debut
Experiencing my likeness in a video game is an indescribable moment, and 2K really pulled out all the stops. They meticulously recreated every detail of my entrance and gear to ensure everything was spot on. Valkyria was blown away by what they managed to create, and it’s quite a trip to go from selling 2K games at a store to actually being in the game itself.
Dream Match Scenario
In the latest expansion of the game, Valkyria teams up with heavyweights such as the reigning champions Jax and Cargill. When asked which superstar among them she’d most like to face in a dream match, Valkyria replied enthusiastically, “Michelle McCool would be fantastic! Let’s bring back the loser leaves match, you know. That would be incredible!
The Perfect Gear
We’ll just have to wait and see if that match becomes a reality, but one thing we won’t have to wait too long for is the creations community to start updating 2K24 with new gears and looks for all the new Superstars, and Valkyria is certainly going to be in that mix. When we asked what gear she would love to see fans bring into the game first, there was one gear that instantly came to mind.
“My Queen of the Ring attire with the big wings and stuff. I feel like that was pretty. That was one of my best looks, so to see that in the game would be cool,” Valkyria said. The gear was all black and then featured the slick wings that expanded pretty far, and as you can see in the image below, it is a look that deserves to make its way into 2K24.
Hopefully, someone can figure out how to bring the wings into the game, though Valkyria also loves the gear 2K used, as it holds some special memories for her, including her classic match-up against The Man Becky Lynch.
1) Valkyria stated, “The gear I’ve got on at the entrance, which went up, is my most cherished gear too.” In the Becky match for my title, I wore this exact set. It’s my favorite collection, and it just fits me perfectly.
