WWE's Randy Orton Claims He's Played Elden Ring for 600 Hours

As a gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I can honestly say that Randy Orton‘s dedication to Elden Ring is nothing short of legendary. The man’s got more hours clocked in the Lands Between than most players have in their entire gaming careers!

These days, it’s not unusual to learn that WWE Superstars are avid gamers. Stars such as Cody Rhodes and Xavier Woods have openly expressed their affection for diverse digital realms, but they’re certainly not alone in this. In 2022, seasoned WWE star Randy Orton disclosed that he had been engrossed in the game Elden Ring, posting on Twitter that his character was at level 527. That’s a staggering figure, yet Orton later admitted to having paid someone $1,000 for “infinite runes” to accelerate his leveling progression. However, don’t jump to the conclusion that Orton isn’t active within Elden Ring’s universe. He recently disclosed that he has invested approximately 600 hours in the Lands Between.

On Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About video series, Orton disclosed a past revelation. During their conversation, they touched upon John Cena appearing in Mortal Kombat 1 as Peacemaker. At this point, Orton admitted that he used to tease Rhodes about his video game playing when they were part of The Legacy stable during Rhodes’ initial WWE tenure. Rhodes jokingly responded, “That’s you now,” alluding to Orton’s current enthusiasm for Elden Ring. Later on, Orton confessed that he has invested around 600 hours into playing Elden Ring.

Indeed, Orton was quick to explain that he has devoted so much time to FromSoftware’s popular game because he was recovering from a spinal fusion surgery. He expressed, “My friend, I get completely absorbed in it. The kids go to bed, I hand the iPad over to my wife and say, ‘Go ahead, buy things on Amazon,’ and then I just play. It’s like Christmas every day here at home.”

Luckily for Orton and every enthusiast of Elden Ring, developer FromSoft released the Shadows of the Erdtree expansion during the summer, offering a wealth of fresh content to explore. This DLC surpassed five million sales within a week, demonstrating its continued popularity in the gaming market. Moreover, the DLC is known for being one of FromSoft’s most challenging creations, ensuring that players will be engaged with it for several months to come.

The game titled “Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree” is currently playable on PlayStation, Xbox, and computer systems. Lately, whispers about a possible film or television series adaptation have been growing louder, so it wouldn’t be shocking if there’s even more Elden Ring content in the near future.
