As a lifelong WWE fan who has seen my fair share of wrestling matches, let me tell you that the Tables, Ladders, and Scares match between The Don Tony D’Angelo and Oba Femi at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc was nothing short of spectacular! The physicality, the brutality, the weapons, and the unexpected twists made it a true thrill to watch.
At Halloween Havoc, NXT’s North American Championship bout between The Don Tony D’Angelo and Oba Femi lived up to expectations, being as intense and rough as any Tables, Ladders, and Scares match. It didn’t take long for the ring to be filled with various weapons like chairs, crowbars, and ladders. However, things escalated when Femi bound D’Angelo’s hand to the bottom rope using a zip tie. The Family then intervened, but Femi retaliated by seemingly attacking Rizzo. Just as it seemed like he was about to attack her, D’Angelo broke free and speared him off the ring and through a ladder in an electrifying move. This was followed by The Family dishing out revenge with a Shatter Machine and crashing through a table, eventually securing the victory.
A Battle of Power
The action began prior to the bell’s sound, and before long, weapons found their way into the ring. D’Angelo propelled Femi over the barricade, but Femi managed to prevent the use of the ladder. Femi tossed a few chairs into the ring, but one came back to strike the side of his head. In retaliation, he hit D’Angelo with another chair, which landed on his shoulder.
Later on, Femi forcefully pushed D’Angelo onto a chair for a potential pin, but D’Angelo swiftly escaped by kicking out. Femi subsequently positioned a ladder in the corner, repeatedly using a chair to strike D’Angelo’s back and then landing another chair on his neck and abdomen. With each impact, D’Angelo was hurled towards the corner ladder, giving Femi dominance over the bout.
In a swift turn of events, D’Angelo halted the assault by nudging the ladder towards Femi. However, this action resulted in him being shoved onto the ring apron and hurled back into the ring. Femi subsequently hoisted D’Angelo aloft, slamming him onto the ladder once more. This was followed by the appearance of another ladder, much to the audience’s excitement. Femi positioned a table in the corner, intending to crash D’Angelo into it. But The Don skillfully avoided, only to receive an uppercut and be propelled straight through it.

In the wrestling match, Femi attempted a pinning move, but D’Angelo managed to lift his shoulder off the mat at the 2.5 count. When Femi brandished a crowbar in an attempt to attack, D’Angelo swiftly positioned a chair as a barrier. Despite this, Femi tried to use the crowbar against D’Angelo’s face, but it wasn’t enough for the pin. Continuing his assault on D’Angelo, Femi resorted to stomping him and then using the crowbar again. In a swift countermove, D’Angelo lifted Femi off the ground and hurled him over instead of performing the powerbomb that Femi had intended. Subsequently, D’Angelo retaliated with multiple chair shots, followed by slamming Femi onto a chair, then executing a spinebuster. Remarkably, Femi managed to kick out at 2, prompting D’Angelo to retrieve a table from under the ring.
The Family Returns
In a turn of events, D’Angelo moved the table into the wrestling arena and prepared it, only for Femi to seize D’Angelo and hurl him skyward next. Landing clumsily, D’Angelo grabbed his knee, and Femi swiftly stood up to retrieve some zip ties. He bound D’Angelo’s hand to the bottom rope, which prompted The Family to make their entrance. Adrianna attempted to free D’Angelo by cutting the ropes, but Femi stepped into the ring to confront her instead.
In response to D’Angelo’s loud shout at Femi, Rizzo retreated, yet Femi pursued her beyond the ring’s boundaries. As Rizzo attempted to seize a crowbar, it was Femi who snatched it away. This action unexpectedly freed D’Angelo, who executed a powerful spear move on Femi, propelling him over the ropes and crashing through an external ladder that was propped up by a ladder.
Afterward, D’Angelo was struck by a powerful clothesline and a Fall From Grace maneuver. However, just before the referee could count to three for the pin, D’Angelo managed to get his shoulder up. This action triggered a response from The Family, with Rizzo landing an uppercut, followed swiftly by Stacks and Crusifino executing a Shatter Machine on Femi. In the end, D’Angelo finished off Femi by throwing him through a table and securing the pin and the victory. As a result, The Don remains the North American Champion in NXT.
