Xbox Cloud Gaming is now available on LG TVs, letting players stream games like The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered

Now, it’s possible to play Xbox games on certain LG TVs via the Xbox app, allowing users to stream games from Xbox Cloud Gaming right onto their televisions.

Earlier this year, Microsoft had announced they would be introducing this function soon, and now, starting from today, they are releasing an update to enable it, as confirmed through Xbox Wire on Wednesday.

As an analyst, I can share that the Xbox application is compatible with certain devices including 2022 OLED TVs, specific 2023 LG Smart TVs, as well as smart monitors equipped with webOS24 functionality.

To enjoy Xbox Cloud Gaming on your LG TV, visit the LG Gaming Portal and install the Xbox app. Once installed, log in using your Microsoft account.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate package, but to use it, you’ll need a controller with Bluetooth functionality, like an Xbox Series X|S controller or a Sony PlayStation 5 DualSense controller.

Xbox Cloud Gaming can be accessed on various devices such as Xbox gaming consoles, selected Amazon Fire TV sticks, future Meta Quest 3 VR headsets, Windows computers, and Android or iOS tablets through the website Xbox.com/play, with additional support available for more devices.

Stream a constantly growing Xbox library

Over the past few months, the Xbox development teams have been intensely working on enhancing the Xbox Cloud Gaming service. They’ve rolled out a new feature called “Play from Your Library,” initially available within the Xbox app, and later extended it to include Xbox gaming consoles as well.

Initially, the “Stream Your Own Game” collection comprised of 50 games, however, it is continually expanding with new releases, such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Subnautica, and The Thing Remastered among others.

Additionally, you’ll receive this assistance, coupled with a wave of exclusive Xbox games developed internally. These games are part of the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so they can be played using Xbox Cloud Gaming without needing to buy them first.

Here are three exciting games – Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed, Compulsion Games’ South of Midnight, and Bethesda Game Studios’ The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered – can now be streamed for your enjoyment! Additionally, Xbox gamers will soon have even more titles to look forward to, such as id Software’s DOOM: The Dark Ages.
