Xbox Controller Refresh Detailed in Latest xCloud Files – Rumour

A recent finding suggests that Microsoft could be developing a brand new Xbox controller, and it appears to incorporate aspects akin to those found in the PS5’s DualSense controller. This discovery was made after an xCloud file update, handled by the Red Better xCloud account, seemingly showcased DualSense-like characteristics.

As a dedicated gaming enthusiast, I couldn’t help but notice an intriguing screenshot shared by Red Better xCloud. It revealed two captivating terms: “sebile” and “actium”. The former seems reminiscent of the cloud-connected Xbox controller we glimpsed earlier with Google’s Stadia controller. Excitingly, “actium” appears to be a fresh version of the renowned Xbox Elite controller. Additionally, the mysterious “Delgado”, translated as “Slim” in Spanish, has piqued my curiosity. Could this be hinting at a sleeker design for one of these controllers? Only time will tell!

Based on reports from X account eXtas1s, it seems that these keywords suggest several features for the upcoming controllers. Among them is compatibility with next-generation Xbox consoles. Additionally, these new controllers are rumored to incorporate DualSense-like enhanced haptics and a modular design. Instead of replaceable batteries like previous Xbox controllers, they will reportedly come equipped with rechargeable internal batteries.

The recently surfaced whispers and disclosures align with an earlier leaked FTC document suggesting that Xbox is developing novel controllers equipped with advanced features such as haptic feedback and gyroscopic support. Reportedly, these upcoming controllers may boast modular analog sticks and compatibility with Bluetooth 5.2 technology.

The anticipated release of the latest controllers coincides with an upgraded version of the Xbox Series X/S, internally known as “Brooklin”. This upgrade features a storage capacity of 2TB, a fresh design, and a digital-only format (meaning it won’t have a disc drive). Expected performance is 12 TFLOPS GPU, and whispers suggest a price tag of $499.

In the meantime, there’s buzz about a revamp for the high-tier model, Brooklin, along with whispers of an update for the Xbox Series S. Known internally as Ellewood, this potential upgrade may retail at $299. So far, Microsoft has kept quiet on any official announcements regarding controllers or consoles. However, hints about controller codenames in xCloud files suggest we might be nearing the launch date.
