Microsoft has revealed that Xbox Developer_Direct will be back on January 23rd, at 10 AM Pacific Time/1 PM Eastern Standard Time. The event will concentrate on three games: id Software’s “DOOM: The Dark Ages”, Sandfall Interactive’s “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33”, and Compulsion Games’ “South of Midnight”.
Each development team will offer comprehensive insights into their respective titles. While it’s likely that new gameplay is on the horizon, potential release dates might also be announced. It’s been whispered that DOOM: The Dark Ages may see daylight in May, and South of Midnight could potentially debut in March.
Indeed, it appears that Microsoft may be hinting at a fourth unveiling, which could potentially be the rumored reimagining of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. According to reports, this project is allegedly being developed by Virtuos, with a technical art director from their Shanghai studio recently mentioning an “unannounced” Unreal Engine 5 remake.
Regardless, it’s been confirmed that all these game titles will be released on Game Pass this year. We don’t know yet how long the presentation will last, so keep an eye out for more information and details in the upcoming weeks.
