Xbox Developer_Direct May Have “More Than One” Surprise Announcement – Rumour

Next week, Microsoft is set to host their yearly Xbox Developer Showcase. This event will feature updates on “DOOM: The Dark Ages,” “South of Midnight,” and “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.” In addition, they are expected to unveil a fourth game that remains a mystery for now. It’s worth noting that this may not be the only surprise they have in store for us during the show.

Journalist Jez Corden hinted in a recent tweet that the imminent presentation might hold more than one surprise, and even reinforced this possibility with a second tweet using the word “maybe” twice.

So far, each Xbox Developer_Direct event has showcased five games at a time. Given this pattern, it’s not unreasonable to expect Microsoft to continue with the same format. The intrigue lies in guessing what that fifth, yet-to-be-revealed game might be. It’s been rumored that the fourth secret game is a new installment in a renowned Japanese series, which, coupled with the presence of “Expedition 33,” implies it may not necessarily be an exclusive first-party title.

2025’s Xbox Developer_Direct event is scheduled for January 23. We’ll find out more information then. Keep an eye out for further updates.
