Xbox Game Hellblade 2 Might Be Out for PS5 ‘Very Soon’

It’s rumored that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, which hasn’t officially been confirmed as a PS5 port, might be launching on Sony’s current-gen console very shortly. Jez Cordon, a writer for Windows Central, hinted at this possibility in response to a tweet about the upcoming State of Play livestream on Wednesday, stating “Hellblade 2 time maybe?” In a subsequent post, he suggested that it’s not a question of if the PS5 version will happen, but rather when, and he’s heard from reliable sources that it could be quite soon.

Initially joining the fray, leak source NateDrake added fuel to the speculation by hinting that Hellblade 2 might release for PS5 in a relatively short timeframe, using the phrase “soon… extremely soon”. He did not explicitly confirm whether the unveiling of the game would occur during the State of Play broadcast.

At the moment, Microsoft is planning to release Forza Horizon 5, Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, and Age of Mythology: Retold on the PlayStation 5. There are also rumors that many more games will be ported over. Some people believe that Hellblade 2, a game initially made exclusive to Microsoft, may eventually make its way onto the PS5 as well, addressing any regrets about its exclusivity. Speculations point towards the release of Gears of War, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and Microsoft Flight Simulator on the PlayStation 5 throughout the year 2025.

At the launch of Xbox Series X|S last year, our sister site Pure Xbox gave Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 a 7/10 in their review. They praised the game for its impressive sound quality and Melina Juergens’ compelling performance. However, they expressed reservations about extending Senua’s story into a saga, saying it didn’t seem like a wise decision.
