Xbox Game Pass Subscribers Have Less Than Two Weeks With These Five Games

Xbox Game Pass users, regardless of their subscription level, have less than two weeks to enjoy five different Xbox and PC games that are part of Microsoft’s service. After this period, these games will no longer be accessible to subscribers unless they choose to buy each game individually. However, there is a silver lining: as long as the games remain on Xbox Game Pass, subscribers can purchase them with a 20% discount if they decide to continue playing any of the departing titles.

Among the five games, Remnant 2, scheduled for release in 2023 by Gunfire Games and Gearbox Publishing, stands out as the most significant. The remaining four games are smaller, less prominent releases, but each boasts an Metacritic score of 80 or more, or overwhelmingly positive user feedback, indicating that there may be subscribers who will regret their absence.

Below, you can check out all five Xbox Game Pass games leaving the subscription service on May 31:

Remnant 2 (Console, PC)

Overview for Remnant II

Remnant II is the follow-up to the blockbuster game Remnant: From the Ashes. In this sequel, you’ll find yourself among the few remaining human survivors who must confront an array of lethal creatures and deity-like adversaries across haunting landscapes. You can choose to embark on this perilous journey alone or team up with two other comrades in a cooperative experience.

Your mission: thwart an impending catastrophe that threatens the very fabric of existence itself. To ensure our survival, you’ll need to utilize your individual abilities and those of your fellow players to surmount the most demanding obstacles and safeguard humanity from annihilation.

Metacritic Score: 85

Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath (Console, PC)

Introduction: “Welcome to… The Steel Vault. The largest hidden fortress in the cosmos, home to X Slayers – the brave warriors who battle against The Psycho Syndicate. Despite Earth’s inhabitants being less than friendly towards us, we vow to protect them, an obligation we feel is necessary because the Psycho Syndicate are truly sinister beings, exploiting Hackblood (yes, they’re stealing our powers… quite foolishly) to bring malevolent forces into existence and conquer the world, enslaving mankind in the process.

Metacritic Score: 80

Firework (PC)

Firework – A Chinese Horror Mystery Game”

Description: “Set in a secluded mountain village, Firework is a chilling puzzle game with horror undertones. Originally closed, the case of a gruesome massacre is reopened following an unintentional fire during a funeral. By mere happenstance, Lin Lixun, a novice police officer, becomes involved in this new investigation. As the probe delves deeper, the victims’ pasts begin to surface. However, the mystery only deepens. Is it supernatural forces at play, or an intricate web of murder?

Metacritic Score: N/A

Just as before, when these games disappear, it’s uncertain if they’ll ever come back again. If they do, it might take some time, or perhaps quite a long period, based on past trends.
