Xbox Has ‘a Lot More’ PS5 Ports to Come in 2025

Although it seems almost common knowledge now, the announcement that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be available on PS5 in April 2025 has experts speculating that this could be the start of many exciting gaming releases in the year to come.

Tom Warren from The Verge, who has accurately reported details about various Xbox to PS5 ports over the past year, concluded his article about today’s release date announcement by stating: “Microsoft began releasing Xbox-exclusive titles such as Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Sea of Thieves, and Grounded on the PS5 last year, and there will be many more titles appearing on both the PS5 and Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2 in 2025.

Over the last several months, there’s been a lot of chatter about potential PS5 releases from Microsoft, including games like DOOM: The Dark Ages, a revamped Age of Mythology, and an upcoming version of Age of Empires 2 called “Definitive Edition.

The following Xbox games have also been suggested to be launching on PS5 this year:

  • Halo: The Master Chief Collection
  • Gears of War
  • Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator

Furthermore, there are whispers that Bethesda might be developing a remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and it’s possible this remake could hit shelves as early as next month.

As a dedicated gamer, I can confidently say that whether it’s Xbox games making their way onto other platforms like the rumored Nintendo Switch 2, Microsoft seems determined to keep expanding their multiplatform presence, making it a standard part of their strategy. There are a couple of exclusives in the pipeline, such as Avowed and the upcoming South of Midnight. However, given their approach, I won’t be surprised if these games find their way onto other platforms eventually too.
