Xbox’s Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is coming to PlayStation 5 in April

For some time, it has been anticipated that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle would eventually be available on PlayStation 5, following its initial launch on Xbox and PC. Now, we finally know when the game will be released.

The world-traveling game co-developed by Bethesda Softworks and MachineGames will be available on PlayStation 5 starting April 17, and those who purchase the Premium Edition will get early access to it for two days before that.

Have a glance at the amusing announcement trailer below, where Indiana Jones actor Troy Baker engages in conversation with Nolan North, another well-known adventurer character portrayer.

The game titled “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” received significant praise upon its debut in December of the previous year. It swiftly attracted 4 million players and was honored with several accolades, including the title of Adventure Game of the Year at the 28th D.I.C.E. awards.

I also absolutely loved this experience, and it was easily my personal game of the year for 2024.

In my review of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, I stated that “The way each line is spoken and every scene is filmed, along with Indy’s smirk when solving puzzles, shows that the team at MachineGames truly understands what makes Indiana Jones unique. This game deserves to stand alongside the original trilogy with a sense of pride.

It’s likely that we won’t have to wait too long before finding out details about the upcoming Order of Giants story expansion for the game, which comes with the Premium Edition.

April is packed with game launches just from Xbox

Indiana Jones: The Great Circle is among several games set to release from both Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks in April.

Starting next month, on April 8th, Compulsion Games’ South of Midnight will officially release, with early access starting a few days prior on April 3rd. Additionally, Towerborne is set to debut in Xbox Game Preview on April 29th, and both games are slated to be included in Xbox Game Pass at launch.

Another highly anticipated game, Forza Horizon 5 from Playground Games, will be released towards the end of this month, specifically on April 29th. Those who purchase the Premium Edition will get early access to the game starting four days before the official release date.

Additionally, there are persistent whispers suggesting that a revamped version of Bethesda Game Studios’ The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion may unveil and debut as early as April.

Despite the possibility it might not occur, April appears to be an exceptionally busy month, with multiple launches from a single company (spread across various publishers), which is quite remarkable and hasn’t been seen for a while.

At a quick look, there might be less shared content than it appears, as Xbox players have previously played Indiana Jones and Forza Horizon 5. However, it’s still quite impressive.
