As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say, Monolith Soft’s announcement has sent a thrill down my virtual spine! Ever since the epic conclusion of the Xenoblade Chronicles saga, I’ve been yearning for another grand adventure from this esteemed studio.
Last year, Monolith Soft concluded the Xenoblade Chronicles series with Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed. Now, as we move forward, they are preparing for their next project, which appears to be another significant role-playing game.
On its official website, Monolith Soft has launched a new section specifically aimed at initiating a massive hiring campaign for their upcoming project. Written by Tetsuya Takahashi, the game’s director and architect of the Xenoblade series, the letter on this page offers few details about the project but does confirm that it will be another Role-Playing Game (RPG) and promises to present more development hurdles than any previous Monolith Soft creation.
Takahashi announces that he’ll be back at the helm for the upcoming game, promising a more complex and advanced experience compared to previous titles from his studio. Various roles are currently available at Monolith Soft in various fields.
It’s unclear at this point if Monolith Soft is developing a new Xenoblade game or something different altogether. While it’s hard to say for certain, what they are working on seems destined for the successor of the Nintendo Switch rather than the console itself, so we might not hear about it right away.
