This morning, Nintendo disclosed a number of fresh details about the upcoming game Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, along with a new trailer. On March 20th, when the game is released, there will be an exclusive pre-order/purchase bonus that will only be available for a limited time. This special offer is called the Exploration Support Pack and it includes items such as the Survival Armor Series, Advanced Storm Assault Rifle, Advanced Iron Knife, 11 Augments, and 100,000 Credits. The Exploration Support Pack can be obtained by purchasing the game digitally from the eShop or GameStop, or physically through GameStop or the My Nintendo Store. However, this offer is only valid until April 6th.
As an ardent enthusiast eagerly anticipating the release of this game, I must admit that while it’s exclusive to early adopters initially, t Definitive Edition in October, I’ve been on tenterhooks, and the latest trailer offers a tantalizing sneak peek at what lies ahead. For those who haven’t seen it yet, here’s a link to the trailer below.
Today’s news about the Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition isn’t exactly surprising since Pyoro, a former leaker, had previously hinted at more details for the Nintendo Switch game this week. Among the four first-party games announced for the Nintendo Switch in 2025, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition is one of them. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD will be released next week, while Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are scheduled for later this year. It’s still uncertain if the system will receive any other Nintendo-published games in 2025, as the Switch 2 is expected to debut sometime before March ends.
Regarding exclusive games initially launched on the Wii U, Xenoblade Chronicles X is one of the few that hasn’t transitioned to the Nintendo Switch yet. Over the past eight years, Nintendo has gradually transferred numerous titles from the system to the Switch, such as Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, Bayonetta 2, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and more recently. However, there are still a handful of games left for transition, including originals like Yoshi’s Woolly World and Paper Mario: Color Splash. The most anticipated titles yet to be transferred are the high-definition remasters of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker. Fans have been eagerly awaiting these games on Switch for quite some time, but it remains unclear whether or not they will eventually make their way over!
