Nightsoul’s Blessing: Blade Roller

In the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, Xilonen switches to Blade Roller mode. During this mode, she can execute up to four kicks using her roller blades as part of her regular attacks, but she won’t be able to deploy Charged Attacks.

In this specific game mode, when she employs Normal and Plunge Attacks, her damage output will transition to being dependent on her Defense stat. Moreover, the damage she inflicts becomes Nightsoil-associated Geo Damage, which is immune to any attempt at override.

Unleash the pulsating waves of ardor across the realm! Xilonen swiftly dons her high-speed combat skates and advances a fixed distance before inflicting Geo damage aligned with Nightsoul on her Defense. This action awards Xilonen 45 Nightsoul points, propelling her into the Nightsoul’s Favor status. In this condition, she transitions to the Blade Roller mode.

Source Samples

Xilonen carries three Sound Generators that create unique atmospheres depending on her teammates’ elemental classes, lowering the resistance of enemies with matching elements while they are activated. Each generator initially stores a Geo sample, and when a team member has Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro class, one Geo generator will transform into the corresponding element.

In the state of Nightsoul’s Blessing, Xilonen constantly activates the Geo Source Sample she carries. Once her passive talent “Netotiliztli’s Echoes” is unlocked, Xilonen can utilize its abilities to restore Nightsoul points for herself. When her Nightsoul points reach their maximum, she will use all of them and activate the three Source Samples in her possession for 15 seconds. While active, these samples decrease the Elemental Resistance of nearby enemies. Source Sample effects of the same Elemental Type do not stack. Xilonen can trigger these effects even when she is not on the field.

Nightsoul’s Blessing: Xilonen

Keep using your NightSoul points consistently. Once they run out or you use them again, your NightSoul’s Blessed status will terminate. This status features the following characteristics:

  • Switches to the Blade Roller mode, increasing Xilonen’s Movement SPD and climbing speed, and she can perform high-speed leaps in Ocelot Form while climbing.
  • Xilonen’s Nightsoul’s Blessing has the following restrictions:
  • When in this state, Xilonen’s Nightsoul points have a 9s time limit. After this limit passes, her Nightsoul points will immediately expire.

When Xilonen’s Nightsoul energy runs out during the Nightsoul’s Blessing phase, she will lose her ability to accumulate Nightsoul points through the Passive Talent “Echoes of Netotiliztli.

Turns on the Portable Phlogiston Stereo DJ Controller to its maximum strength, emitting Nightsoul-targeted Area of Effect Geo damage that is proportional to Xilonen’s Defense.

Additionally, she will trigger the following effects based on her different Source Samples:

  • If she has at least 2 Source Samples that have had their Elemental Types changed, Xilonen will play an Ebullient rhythm, healing nearby active characters at intervals based on her DEF.
  • If she has fewer than 2 Source Samples that have had their Elemental Types changed, Xilonen will start up an Ardent rhythm, which will play two additional beats that deal Nightsoul-aligned AoE Geo DMG based on her DEF.

While in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state:

  • If Xilonen has at least 2 Source Samples that have had their Elemental Types changed, she gains 35 Nightsoul points when her Normal or Plunging Attacks hit opponents. Can be triggered once every 0.1s.
  • If Xilonen has fewer than 2 Source Samples that have had their Elemental Types changed, her Normal and Plunging Attacks deal 30% increased DMG.

Xilonen Character Guide

When Xilonen’s Nightsoul power is fully charged during the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, her ability activates – similar to a Nightsoul Burst – and this can occur once every 14 seconds.

Furthermore, whenever neighboring teammates activate a Nightsoul Burst, Xilonen’s Defense boosts by 20% for 15 seconds.

Xilonen Character Guide

Once Xilonen’s Nightsoul energy is completely drained, she will start using Phlogiston to sustain her Nightsoul’s blessing instead.

In the region governed by Phlogiston Mechanics inside Natlan, she can activate Xilonen’s Night Soul Transfer. If the character is running, climbing, moving due to specific abilities, or at a particular altitude in the air, this ability becomes active upon switching to Xilonen: She enters the Blessing phase of her Night Soul and receives 20 Night Soul points. While in this state, Xilonen’s Night Soul points expire after 4 seconds; however, they will remain if she uses Yohual’s Scratch within that timeframe, extending the expiration by an additional 9 seconds. The Night Soul Transfer can be activated once every 10 seconds by your teammates.

Furthermore, during her time in Natlan, Xilonen will find herself exempt from using Stamina when she ascends while under the influence of the Nightsoul’s Blessing.

Triggering Nightsoul Transmission restores 15 Phlogiston.

1. Sabbatical Phrase
  • Effect: Reduces the amount of Nightsoul points and Phlogiston Xilonen uses in her Nightsoul’s Blessing state by 30%, meaning she can maintain this state for longer. It also extends the duration of her Nightsoul points by 45%.
  • Team Buff: When Source Samples are active, it increases nearby allies’ resistance to being interrupted.
  • Importance: This constellation is useful for maintaining Xilonen’s Nightsoul state longer, giving her better sustain. It is not a must-have, but is helpful for quality-of-life improvements, especially if her skill uptime is crucial for your team.
2. Chiucue Mix
  • Effect: Xilonen’s Geo Source Samples stay active permanently, meaning they won’t expire. Each Source Sample type boosts stats for nearby allies based on their elemental type:
    • Geo: +50% DMG dealt.
    • Pyro: +45% ATK.
    • Hydro: +45% Max HP.
    • Cryo: +60% CRIT DMG.
    • Electro: Restores 25 Energy and reduces Elemental Burst cooldown by 6s.
  • Importance: This is a very powerful constellation for team buffs. Chiucue Mix makes Xilonen a valuable support for teams with diverse elements, boosting damage, health, and energy regeneration. Highly recommended if you play in teams that benefit from these stats.
3. Tonalpohualli’s Loop
  • Effect: Increases the level of Yohual’s Scratch by 3, enhancing the skill’s effectiveness (up to level 15).
  • Importance: This constellation increases her Yohual’s Scratch skill level, but doesn’t drastically change gameplay. Only a minor boost; not essential.
4. Suchitl’s Trance
  • Effect: After using Yohual’s Scratch, Xilonen grants all nearby allies Blooming Blessing for 15 seconds. This increases their Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG by 65% of Xilonen’s DEF. The effect can trigger six times and is counted separately for each ally.
  • Importance: Great for increasing team damage output if Xilonen’s DEF is high. This is particularly useful in longer fights where maximising damage is critical. A strong constellation for DPS teams.
5. Tlaltecuhtli’s Crossfade
  • Effect: Increases the level of Ocelotlicue Point! by 3, enhancing the skill’s effectiveness (up to level 15).
  • Importance: Similar to Tonalpohualli’s Loop, this constellation only increases skill level without adding new mechanics. It’s a minor improvement and is not necessary unless you’re optimising every skill.
6. Imperishable Night Carnival
  • Effect: When in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, Xilonen gains Imperishable Night’s Blessing after sprinting, leaping, or attacking. This blessing:
    • Pauses her Nightsoul countdown and keeps Nightsoul points from draining.
    • Increases her Normal and Plunging Attack DMG by 300% of her DEF.
    • Heals nearby allies by 120% of her DEF every 1.5s.
  • Importance: This is Xilonen’s strongest constellation. It dramatically boosts her damage and healing while extending her Nightsoul state almost indefinitely during active use. This makes her a powerhouse support and healer, keeping the team alive and boosting damage.

Xilonen Character Guide

As a dedicated fan, I’d like to share that when I play, my Xilonen character is usually at Level 90, stationed in Constellation 0, with all talents maxed out (10/10/10). My weapons are also consistently upgraded to Level 90 and Refinement 1. The artifacts I use form a complete 4-piece set, which has been enhanced to its maximum level (either 20 or 16), but in my gameplay, I don’t account for any sub-stats associated with these artifacts.

In the context of the game, Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City stands out as Xilonen’s most effective artifact set for a supporting role. However, it may not appear that way in the damage output provided, as the 4-piece bonus primarily boosts her teammates rather than herself.

Xilonen Character Guide

“Experimenting with the ‘Husk of Opulent Dreams’ as a fan, I find it to be Xilonen’s standout artifact set when it comes to DPS or Sub-DPS roles. While she may not be initially designed for this purpose at C0, the fun lies in the exploration. Interestingly, even when built for support, this set enhances her Defense percentage, thereby amplifying her supportive capabilities.”

Xilonen Character Guide

As a dedicated fan, I’m excited to share that my starting gear for Xilonen is called the Defender’s Will. Compared to the previous sets, this one offers lower stats because it’s only available in either 3-star or 4-star rarity and can only be upgraded to level 16.

2-Piece Bonus Effect: If a neighboring ally sets off a Nightsoul Burst, the character wearing this item restores 6 units of Elemental Energy.

Enhanced Elemental Boost: When a party member using an Elemental Type equips an item activates a related reaction, other party members close by receive a 12% boost to Elemental damage for the involved Elemental Types for 15 seconds. If this character is in Nightsoul’s Blessing state when triggering this effect, nearby allies gain an extra 28% Elemental damage bonus on those same Elemental Types for 20 seconds. This effect can be triggered even if the character is not active in the field, and bonuses from identical Artifact Sets do not accumulate.

Xilonen performs optimally when paired with the Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City artifact set. This unique artifact collection amplifies the Elemental Damage dealt by Xilonen’s teammates, enhancing the support role that her native abilities already provide. However, players may find it challenging to collect this set as it can only be obtained in Natlan, which might pose difficulties for newcomers.

Xilonen Character Guide

2-Piece Bonus: DEF +30%.

Bonus for Four-Piece: When a character is geared with this Artifact set, they will gain the Mystery Aura under these prerequisites:

  • When on the field, the character gains 1 stack after hitting an opponent with a Geo attack, triggering a maximum of once every 0.3s.
  • When off the field, the character gains 1 stack every 3s.

Curiosity can stack up to 4 times, each providing 6% DEF and a 6% Geo DMG Bonus. When 6 seconds pass without gaining a Curiosity stack, 1 stack is lost.

According to mathematical analysis, “Husk of Opulent Dreams” is exceptionally beneficial for a DPS character named Xilonen. This artifact enhances her defense, consequently boosting her Nightsoul’s Blessing Attacks, Plunging Attacks, Elemental Skill Rush Damage, and her Elemental Burst Continuous Healing. With this enhancement, Xilonen can effortlessly utilize the 4-piece bonus and acquire the subsequent defense and Geo DMG bonus.

Xilonen Character Guide

2-Piece Bonus: DEF +30%.

4-Piece Set Advantage: Enhancing the Wearer’s Resistance to Each Unique Element Present in Their Party, There Is a 30% Boost.

The beginner’s artifact set is Defender’s Will due to its DEF bonus. At C0 Xilonen needs an additional element in her team to heal with her Elemental Burst, so the 4-piece bonus of this set can be used.

Xilonen Character Guide

Xilonen’s standout weapon is the Peak Patrol Song. This weapon is ideal for her and showcases her strengths, particularly in terms of Defense. Its Defense stats align perfectly with her Defense-scaling talents. Additionally, it enhances Xilonen’s teammates by granting an Elemental Damage bonus, making her even more effective as a supportive character.

Xilonen Character Guide

An alternative 5-star weapon is Freedom-Sworn. Its Elemental Mastery helps to support reaction-based team compositions. It also grants a team-wide attack boost after triggering Elemental Reactions. It does lack the DEF attribute that Xilonen needs, so this must be made up for when choosing her artifacts.

Xilonen Character Guide

Ezpitzal’s Flute, a free-to-play, self-crafted sword hailing from Natlan, boasts Defense bonuses that further enhance when Xilonen employs her Elemental Skill. This transformation makes it a potent and dependable weapon for players aiming to maximize her durability and healing capabilities.

Xilonen Character Guide

The Favonius Sword’s Energy Recharge boosts Xilonen’s capacity to activate her Elemental Burst more frequently, enabling regular healing and Elemental Resistance decrease. This feature proves beneficial in teams where energy resources are limited.
