When is Yellowjackets Season 3 Arriving?

Previously, it was suggested that a bonus episode would come before Season 3, but as of now, it hasn’t been released. Co-creator Ashley Lyle had praised the script for this extra episode, and one of the main cast members, Sophie Nelisse who plays young Shauna, has revealed that she found the script to be excellent, although she hasn’t watched the actual episode yet.
She stated, “I wasn’t present during the filming and everyone was at home when it was released, so I’m unaware of the events depicted. I’ve only read the script, which is fantastic, very intriguing. However, I haven’t watched the actual movie yet. I wish there had been a private screening for us, but unfortunately, that didn’t happen.
Season 3 Will Have Some New Cast Members
The third season of the show “Yellowjackets” will bring some modifications to its cast. During Season 2, the characters Nat and police officer Kevyn Tan suffered fatalities in the present-day storyline, suggesting that Juliette Lewis and Alex Wyndham might not reprise their roles. In the past timeline, both Javi and Crystal perished in the wilderness, which hints at a possible reduced presence of Luciano Leroux and Nuha Jes Izman.
Regarding fresh faces joining the cast, it’s worth mentioning that Hilary Swank, known for her role in The Next Karate Kid, has been recently confirmed for Season 3. Similarly, Joel McHale, who gained fame from Community and Stargirl, is also a new addition to Yellowjackets in its upcoming third season. In terms of the environment, viewers last saw the survivors without shelter when their cabin, where they had been living, suddenly caught fire, adding to the challenges they face as winter persists. Additionally, Young Nat was appointed as leader following Lottie’s assertion that the wilderness no longer required her leadership since everyone could now communicate with it.
Currently, many events demand our attention. Adult Nat passed away following an unintended phenobarbital injection during the Queen of Hearts ritual, which saw Misty offering a new sacrifice to the wilderness. Additionally, Lottie was taken by EMTs in the season finale. Furthermore, adult Van is battling terminal cancer and Taissa’s sleepwalking behavior has become unsettling. In simpler terms, there are numerous happenings taking place, with Christina Ricci (who portrays adult Misty) hinting that Season 3 will be particularly grueling.
According to Ricci, this upcoming season is expected to be more astonishing and unexpected than the ones that came before. He described it as intense, but there will also be a good deal of humor involved. In summary, he believes it will be an exceptionally Yellowjackets-esque season.
