Samantha Hanratty is about to be busy as a bee.
It was announced that the Yellowjackets lead star, Christian DeAnda’s wife, is preparing for the arrival of their first child together.
“After four months, I’m still reeling from the news, and I shared this on Instagram on August 12. Prepare for an exciting journey as I open up about my experiences – join me on this new adventure!”
In her own post, the 28-year-old woman published a private video where she conducted pregnancy tests; surprisingly, the initial one showed a negative result.
In a playful manner, Samantha quipped in the video, displaying a shopping bag filled with numerous pregnancy tests. “Oh, how typical of me,” she jested, implying it was absurd for her to be engaging in such an action.
However, she was later overcome with emotions after not getting the result she wanted. “It was negative,” she said through tears. “I said I wasn’t gonna get my hopes up.”
But as she noted, she was told she “could still be pregnant and should try again next week.”
So the Shameless alum did indeed try again—this time with a different result.
In the video, upon witnessing my positive result, I found myself raising my eyebrows in disbelief, all the while smiling and chuckling as I repeated, “No, no way,” multiple times, trying to absorb the incredible news.
But as she wrote over a final clip of an ultrasound of her future little one, “Yes way.”
Approximately ten months after their November wedding (where they got engaged in 2021), they’ve recently shared some thrilling news.
In a chat with The Knot about her wedding day, Samantha expressed that the most cherished moment for her was when she rounded the corner to start walking down the aisle and made eye contact with her partner. It’s challenging to put into words, as it’s an emotion rather than something you can describe; I believe everyone present could sense it as well.
Moreover, the star known as The Greening of Whitney Brown continues to experience that sentiment, particularly on a notable day from this past year.
