The Dutton family lineage persists beyond Yellowstone’s conclusion, as Kayce, Beth, and Rip will continue their tales on screen, portrayed by Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, and Cole Hauser respectively. During the gap between 2025 television schedules and the commencement of 2026 programming, these characters will appear in separate upcoming Yellowstone spin-offs. This close proximity of their air dates raises two significant queries for me.
For some time, it was common knowledge that shows like “Dutton Ranch“, a spin-off of Rip and Beth, and “Y: Marshals“, starring Kayce, were in development. Now, we have verified release dates for both.
During a first-quarter 2025 earnings discussion (as reported by ScreenRant), it was disclosed that the spinoff starring Rip and Beth will debut on Paramount Network, with streaming availability for Paramount+ subscribers the day after, starting in November of this year. On the other hand, CBS’s 2025-2026 programming schedule includes Kayce’s series, which is slated to make its appearance mid-season as part of the Spring ’26 lineup.
As the Dutton Ranch series winds down, I’m eagerly preparing for the debut of Y: Marshals, leaving me curious about the timeline of these productions and potential overlap between them.
Will These Shows Take Place At The Same Time?
It’s likely that the final episode of Dutton Ranch will be aired either in December or early January, and if I had to predict, Y: Marshals might debut around February (or possibly a bit earlier in late January or later in March). This suggests that there will be a short gap between the two series when they are broadcast.
It leaves me pondering the sequence of events for both projects within the Yellowstone timeline. Will they occur at the same time or will Marshals follow directly after the Dutton Ranch storyline? Could there be years between them? The possibilities are numerous, and I can’t guess what they might choose, which only increases my curiosity.
Nonetheless, this doesn’t alter my belief that Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, and Kelly Reilly ought to appear in both of their respective dramas.
Despite this, I still think that Luke Grimes, Cole Hauser, and Kelly Reilly should make an appearance in both series.
Or simply:
This doesn’t affect my conviction that these three actors should cross over between the two shows.
As a movie enthusiast, I’d highly recommend checking out Paramount+. It’s an affordable way, starting at just $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year, to catch up on all things related to Yellowstone and their upcoming series. If you’re looking for a Premium experience with access to Showtime and ad-free viewing, it’s only $12.99 per month. Don’t miss out, grab the deal now!
How Much Crossover, If Any, Will There Be Between These Shows About The Modern Day Duttons?
After Yellowstone concluded, Kayce and Beth chose to live independently. Kayce remained at East Camp, not far from where the Dutton Ranch used to be. On the other hand, Beth and Rip relocated to Dillon, Montana, settling on a fresh ranch. As per Google Maps, Paradise Valley, where Kayce resides, and Dillon are approximately a two-hour drive apart, suggesting that it’s likely they would continue to cross paths.
Indeed, Kayce and Beth parted ways amicably following their joint efforts in securing the ranch for the Broken Rock tribe. Frankly, I can’t imagine a scenario where they’d choose to avoid each other after such a significant shared experience.
Regardless of whether these two series are set at the same historical moment or years apart, I am eager to see Kayce on the Dutton Ranch, and I’m equally excited to catch Beth and Rip in Y: Marshals.
These Western shows will be broadcast on two distinct channels, but since they belong to Paramount, you’ll be able to stream them on Paramount+. To make things more exciting, let’s arrange for these series to overlap, ensuring the Dutton family remains together throughout. Additionally, we’ll aim to schedule everything during the same timeframe so that you can witness seamlessly how the Yellowstone narrative unfolds.
