The game “Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds” is expected to hit the PS5 this year, but for those seeking a fast-paced arcade racing experience, check out the latest in-game event in “Asphalt Legends Unite”.
The free-to-play racing game has teamed up with the blue blur (Sonic) to provide a variety of car designs (liveries) inspired by SEGA’s mascot. You can get a free Chao sticker and other rewards inspired by characters like Amy Rose, Shadow the Hedgehog, and naturally, Sonic himself.
Last year, I mentioned in my mini review that there’s not much room for improvement when it comes to Gameloft’s arcade racer. It’s got a hint of the classic Cruis’n feel that’s hard to beat, making it a solid choice if you’re looking for something reminiscent of old-school racing games.
We recommend this compact game for quick play sessions. If you’re looking for a lighthearted, easy-to-grasp, and absurdly fun experience on your PlayStation 5, there aren’t too many alternatives that fit the bill as well.
At times, a game just needs to be enjoyable, and that’s precisely what Asphalt Legends Unite delivers. We gave it an overall score of 7 out of 10.
