The character from “Jujutsu Kaisen” that sparked the fanbase’s desire to hit the gym is returning in the upcoming movie titled “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death”. To mark the approaching release of the film, the spotlight is on Toji Fushiguro in the latest promotional material. Despite having limited screen time in “Jujutsu Kaisen’s” second season, Toji quickly became a fan favorite and stole the show (even scenes featuring Gojo!). Fans can look forward to watching Toji’s casual handling of Cursed Technique users on the big screen as “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death” hits theaters this July.
The upcoming movie serves as a summarized version, encompassing the initial part of Jujutsu Kaisen’s second season. It focuses on key storylines such as “Hidden Inventory” and “Premature Death”. This film transports viewers to an era long before Yuji Itadori ingested Sukuna’s finger, where Gojo and Geto are assigned the duty of safeguarding Riko Amanai. Meanwhile, Toji and a band of mercenaries pursue them relentlessly.
Toji Returns to Theaters This July
Before the theatrical premiere of “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death” on July 16, a fresh character trailer has emerged showcasing Toji Fushiguro from “Jujutsu Kaisen.” This well-known yet powerless character is displayed in the poster with his distinctive scar over his lips and messy black hair. In this teaser, Toji also dons his signature attire, which makes for an effortlessly simple cosplay (excluding the oversized biceps).
Speaking as a die-hard fan myself, I’m thrilled to share that Toji Fushiguro’s Japanese voice actor, Takehito Koyasu, has shared an exhilarating message for us all about the cinematic debut of “Jujutsu Kaisen”! In his own words, he expresses the sheer delight of witnessing such intensity and emotion unfold on the big screen. Toji Fushiguro, to me, is a character who seems destined, like a precious stone drawn by an invisible force. He’s a man whose brilliance shone briefly before being devoured by it – a tragic tale indeed.
Koyasu expresses a profound emotional bond with the character, stating, “I hope someone remembers him because of it.” Fortunately, Toji has indeed become one of the beloved characters in the series. Koyasu admits that his desire for recognition might seem selfish as the voice actor, but he assures that the character truly existed. If this film revitalizes Toji’s presence, even as a memory, Koyasu would be overjoyed.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 When?
Despite not being the most highly anticipated anime movie of the season, a tie between “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” and “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc,” it’s the theatrical release that is once again drawing focus to MAPPA’s cherished shonen series, “Demon Slayer.
With “Jujutsu Kaisen” making a comeback, enthusiasts can’t help but wonder when Season 3 might drop. Although it has been confirmed that Season 3 is underway and will cover the “Culling Game” storyline, as the series moves towards its concluding arcs, neither a specific release date nor a timeframe has been disclosed yet. Fans are optimistic that a release date may be announced once the movie “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death” hits theaters.
