You Won’t Believe What Princess Lilibet Just Said About Mom Meghan’s Cooking!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s daughter is a big fan of her mom’s homemade strawberry preserves.

In my recent video, I, a devoted follower, had the privilege of hearing Princess Lilibet‘s voice. The video showcases me preparing a delightful concoction by simmering fruits, sugar, and other delectable ingredients in a pot.

In the video she posted on April 26th to her Instagram Stories, Meghan inquired, “What do you think, Lili?” To which Lili replied, “I believe it’s lovely.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share my excitement when I spotted Lilibet, with her charming American accent reminiscent of her mother, grace our screens for a moment. A fleeting image captured my attention – her arm, holding a wooden spoon, a subtle hint of her presence in the video.

In my role as a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d like to share an interesting tidbit from my daily observations. Today, Meghan, much like many of us, posted a series of home videos. Among these, there was a heartwarming clip that caught my attention, featuring none other than their five-year-old son, Archie, feeding the koi fish in a serene pond.

“Mama,” he said, “Watch this.”

Although Harry doesn’t maintain any publicly accessible social media profiles, Meghan resumed her Instagram presence on New Year’s Day and has since started posting pictures and videos of Lilibet and Archie, some of which feature their voices but conceal their faces.

Although she occasionally shares photos of her children on social platforms, Meghan Markle, the ex-actress, deliberately keeps them out of her Netflix series titled “With Love, Meghan“, which debuted in March and has had Prince Harry make a guest appearance twice.

In a different version of events, it is mentioned that the former Suits star discusses Lilibet and Archie in the television series. Specifically, on episode five, she presents homemade strawberry jam that she prepared with her daughter.

Lili helped me make this particular batch, as we mentioned during episode five of her Netflix show, ‘With Love, Meghan’, which debuted in March. We gathered all those berries together.

The Suits graduate went on to say, “Then she declines, ‘No no, Mom. I can handle this,’ and shows eagerness to participate. She insists, ‘I will stir it. I will mash it.’ Fantastic. So you keep the hot liquids at bay and let her do it instead. But her sense of accomplishment is palpable. That part feels rewarding.

Meghan Markle, who is well-known for her fondness for jams, shared that she developed a passion for preserving fruits after moving with Prince Harry into their home in Montecito, California. She explained this during the second episode of “With Love, Meghan,” while plucking berries, stating, “These vines were here when we moved in, and they inspired my jam and preserve-making.” As for her preferred preserve, that remains to be seen.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I find great joy in continuing a tradition passed down from my grandmother – making apple butter. For me, this isn’t just about the delicious fruit preserve; it’s about connecting to something deeply sentimental. My kids, Archie and Lilibet, now have the privilege of experiencing this tradition firsthand.

The aroma of slow-cooked fruit wafting through our home brings back memories for me, and I hope it will do the same for them – a comforting scent signaling the end of their school day and the start of some quality time with mom. ‘There she is,’ they might say. ‘Mom’s making preserves again.’

In fact, my youngest, Lilibet, has already taken an interest in the art of preserve-making. In episode five, I was honored to share a batch we made together – strawberry preserve. She picked all the berries with me and eagerly wanted to participate in every step. ‘I’ll stir it. I’ll mash it,’ she declared. And although I had to keep the hot stuff away, her determination and pride were contagious. Seeing her take part in this tradition fills my heart with joy.

It seems that Harry, who occasionally appears on the show, also demonstrates a talent for cooking. As Meghan shared in episode five, he’s quite skilled at making breakfast and even has a particular way of seasoning his food. In fact, she disclosed that before tasting any meal, he always adds salt to it first. To counteract this, she tries to reduce the amount of salt when cooking for him.

Meghan mentioned that when it comes to her fashion, she enjoys blending high-end with more affordable items, a style often referred to as “high-low”. During episode two, where she hosted Mindy Kaling for a tea party, she revealed her outfit consisted of pants from Zara, a top from Loro Piana, and a sweater by Jenni Kayne.

The series highlights Meghan’s passion for hosting, cooking, gardening, and interior design, but it also reveals some lesser-known aspects of her interests. For example, in one episode, she organizes a game night with her friends where they all learn mahjong together. As she explained, “We’ve been learning mahjong for the past few months. Mahjong originated in China during the 1800s, and we play an American version of it. I’ve found that the game is enjoyable on its own, but what was truly special was bonding with friends over the shared experience of learning something new. The mahjong serves as a backdrop to the growth of our friendships.”

In another episode, her friend Vicky Tsai mentioned that Meghan enjoys playing pickleball, while Meghan herself disclosed some of her favorite music genres.

In the fifth episode, Meghan mentioned that she enjoys a vast amount of ’70s soft rock, yacht rock, and soul music. Additionally, she prefers listening to what she calls “French dinner party music.” Regarding her food preferences, she stated that she has an incredibly high tolerance for spicy dishes.

At a young age, we may not have had much, but we certainly traveled extensively, she explained. My mother was a travel agent, which allowed us to explore numerous cuisines and destinations. She often prepared gumbo and other Soul food dishes, characterized by their rich flavors and spicy kick. I find myself constantly yearning for that taste and the level of heat it offers. As such, I am introducing my family to my unique culinary preferences, but Soul food remains a particular favorite of mine.

In episode two, Meghan reminisced about her childhood, saying it seemed like a different era, but back then, it was quite normal to have microwaved kids’ meals with separate compartments. She grew up on these, often eating them while watching Jeopardy! and consuming a lot of fast food. Her favorite quick-food joints? Pollo Loco and Taco Bell, with an extra kick from their hot sauce on the Mexican pizza, and Jack in the Box, because her mother was fond of their tacos.

Beyond recounting just the highlights of her youth, Meghan vividly reminisced about her days in the Girl Scouts as well. I can hardly contain my excitement thinking back to those experiences!

She mentioned during the fourth episode that she had been a Girl Scout for quite some time. Her scouting journey began when she was around five or six as a Daisy, and she sold numerous boxes of cookies. Remarkably, her mother served as the leader of Troop 949.

Following their departure from active royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan retained their titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In her book With Love, Meghan, she elucidated the significance behind the Sussex title for her.

“It’s quite amusing that you keep referring to me as Meghan Markle,” Meghan said to Mindy in episode two. “You should know I’m a part of Sussex now. Just like parents claim their children’s names, it wasn’t until we adopted

Discussing Archie and Lili, Meghan provided some intriguing glimpses into their lives in the series.

In this episode, she unveiled that her children share her passion for gardening, even having their own tools and taking it quite seriously. She also shared that her daughter, Lili, has created a song about tidying up – “Clean as you go.”

Moreover, Meghan discussed making sun tea with Archie, his fishing adventure where he caught a trout, and their shared love of cooking together. She emphasized the importance of these experiences for her children, stating: “It’s so much a part of what I want them to learn and have these wonderful formative memories – ‘Oh mama used to make this.’

As I reflect on my journey before becoming an actress and a duchess, one of the earliest jobs that comes to mind is working at Humphrey Yogart, an ice cream shop, when I was just 13 years old. Later on, I dabbled in doughnut making at Lil Orbits Donuts, a small shop that specialized in miniature doughnuts sold at craft events. In my college days, I even had a stint as a cocktail waitress in Chicago, despite initially aiming for the simpler role of coat-check girl. However, my boss saw potential in me and encouraged me to serve drinks instead. And when starting out as an actress, I found myself teaching gift-wrapping classes, which was both challenging and rewarding.

In episode four, as Meghan welcomes Nacho Figueras’ wife, Delfina Blaquier, to her gathering, she reminisces about her time spent in Argentina. She expresses that the reason she adored it so much was because it shared similarities with California, offering both scenic mountains and a lively spirit of enjoying life outdoors. Despite being there for just a short period interning at the U.S. embassy, Meghan found herself captivated by Argentina’s charm.

Meghan Markle portrayed Rachel Zane in the series ‘Suits’ from 2011 to 2018, and that moment she learned she was relocating to Toronto for the part remains etched in her memory.

She mentioned on episode two that it had been picked up and was set in Toronto. This means one season in Toronto, which is amazing, but then what if there are two seasons? Would my life be moving to this other place? Fortunately, she loves Canada and has always tried to bring the cast over or meet people at the dog park with their dogs. Interestingly, her co-star Abigail Spencer appears in one of the episodes of “With Love, Meghan”.

In January, it was shared that Meghan’s cherished dog, Guy, had sadly passed away. This affectionate beagle graced several episodes of the Netflix show, and Meghan often spoke about her deep affection for him. As she said in episode four, “I would do anything for Guy, and he knows it.” He was a versatile companion who could be sweet, silly, sassy, or spoiled depending on the day, always remaining her devoted friend. Indeed, as she mentioned in episode five, “Guy’s just always there…He’s my shadow, and he’s been with me for a very long time.” Guy joined Meghan during her life in Toronto, was found in the woods of Kentucky, and accompanied her to the UK, Canada, and California. After the series finale, Meghan made it clear that the show was dedicated “in loving memory of Guy.
