The renewal for another season of “Grace” precedes the airing of season 5, and it also verifies that John Simm will reprise his main character, with Richie Campbell’s DS Glenn Branson returning as well in four separate movies.

For the upcoming season 6, we have some familiar faces joining the cast once more. Zoë Tapper, known from “Liar,” will reprise her role as Cleo Morey. Laura Elphinstone, who starred in “Chernobyl,” will be back as DS Bella Moy. Lastly, Brad Morrison, best recognized for his work on “Outlander,” will take on the character DC Nick Nicholl.

We haven’t yet learned exactly what challenges Grace and her team will encounter, but since the show is an adaptation of the popular novels by Peter James, it’s safe to say we should expect some thrilling scenarios soon enough.

ITV’s drama chief, Huw Kennair Jones, expressed enthusiasm about coming back to Grace and the captivating Brighton depicted in Peter’s exceptional tales with this statement: “It never fails to be thrilling when we revisit these characters and the atmosphere they inhabit.

With an exceptional cast and crew behind it, delivering their magic, it promises yet another excellent series for viewers on ITV and ITVX.

As a film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that having wrapped up series five, it feels incredible to announce we’re returning for another round with series six!

The fact that we’re resuming production speaks volumes about the exceptional effort put forth by our team. Working alongside these gifted individuals is truly delightful, and I’m ecstatic that we’ll be shooting another four episodes in Brighton this summer.

In a similar fashion, author Peter James expressed his delight over the renewal of the series: “I’ve been fortunate enough to work with the most talented actors any writer could ask for, along with a highly interactive and innovative production crew.

I’m constantly receiving emails from people across the UK and globally, expressing their affection for the series, which serves as a clear demonstration of the exceptional caliber of each episode.

I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing more installments, as these are the finest interpretations of my work I’ve encountered so far. Collaborating with ITV and everyone involved continues to be an absolute pleasure and delight.

Filming for the upcoming season 6 starts this summer, while season 5 is set to air this spring. This means that fans won’t have a significant wait before they can continue enjoying their favorite crime drama.

In Season 5, the storyline is drawn from four of James’s novels: “Dead If You Don’t,” “Dead at First Sight,” “Need You Dead,” and “Find Them Dead.” For the books that will inspire season 6, we’ll need to stay tuned for updates.
