You Won’t Believe Which Iconic Superman Character Finally Appears in the New Trailer!

As a die-hard DC fan, I’m beyond thrilled to share that a beloved character who’s been absent from the big screen is finally back in the latest Superman trailer! With Superman marking the beginning of James Gunn’s innovative new DC Universe, anticipation is sky-high for both the narrative and hidden gems it might offer.

In this upcoming movie, we’ll reconnect with Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Lex Luthor, as well as lesser-known heroes like Mister Terrific, Hawkgirl, Guy Gardner, and Metamorpho. However, among the characters closely connected to Superman/Clark Kent, his parents are often overlooked. After glimpsing Jonathan Kent in previous previews, today’s fresh Superman trailer officially unveils his mother, Martha Kent!

In the official Superman trailer, Martha Kent, portrayed by Neva Howell, shows up approximately at the 2:20 mark. During a scene set at the Kent Farm in Smallville, she mentions having cleaned Clark Kent’s boots and offers to fetch them for him. This is accompanied by Jonathan Kent (Pruitt Taylor Vince). The trailer provides just one instance of Martha Kent, with an additional brief moment showing her tending to an unconscious Superman in bed.

In the DC Extended Universe, a significant moment occurred during the film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” that sparked debate among fans. During their fierce battle, Batman was on the verge of fatally stabbing Superman with a Kryptonite spear. Just before the fatal strike, Superman called out to Batman, saying “Martha,” which also happened to be the name of Batman’s mother. This sudden mention caused Batman to recall his own parents’ deaths, allowing Lois Lane time to intervene and reveal that Superman’s mother shared the same name. The revelation was enough to create an emotional connection between the two heroes and ultimately put an end to their conflict.

In the revised version of the Superman trailer, a contentious moment from earlier trailers appears to have been adjusted. Some fans found it odd that Superman showed any reaction when hit by a thrown can during a protest, as his superhero abilities typically allow him to withstand greater impacts. However, in the new trailer, Superman remains unfazed, adding realism and perhaps addressing fan concerns about this minor detail.

There might be multiple versions of the relevant scene, or perhaps special effects are being used. Regardless, it seems James Gunn is putting a great deal of thought into Superman, recognizing his significance as a symbol for his numerous fans. We’ll find out what the final scene will look like when Superman hits theaters.

The story being told is about Superman, who is grappling with his dual identity as both an alien from Krypton and a human raised in Smallville, Kansas. He represents honesty, fairness, and the values of America, and he demonstrates these ideals through his compassionate nature, which many people today might view as outdated.

Beginning its run on July 11th, the film Superman boasts an impressive cast including David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult, Frank Grillo, Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, Neva Howell, and Sean Gunn.
