Young Scooter Dies on His Birthday in Freak Accident

More information is emerging about Young Scooter’s untimely passing.

Following the Atlanta rapper (whose real name was Kenneth Edward Bailey) who passed away on his 39th birthday, March 28, a Fulton County medical examiner’s report stated that the cause of his death was a wound to his right thigh, classifying the manner of his death as accidental.

The online-released report stated, “Mr. Bailey suffered a deep wound in his right thigh, causing significant bleeding. This injury wasn’t from a gunshot; instead, it occurred when Mr. Bailey collided with wooden fencing or other natural wood debris while jumping over at least one fence.

At a press briefing, Lieutenant Andrew Smith of the Atlanta Police Department disclosed more details about the incident, although he didn’t explicitly mention Young Scooter at that moment. He verified that an individual aged 39 succumbed to injuries sustained while attempting to escape from a location where officers had been called due to a dispute involving a firearm, resulting in a fatal leg wound.

In the conversation notes from the call, it was suggested that gunshots had occurred and a woman was pulled back inside the premises. He explained further, “When police officers arrived, they pounded on the door. A man swiftly opened the door only to slam it shut in the officers’ faces.

Smith shared that, at a certain point, the police set up a boundary around the house. At this juncture, two individuals allegedly ran away from the house’s rear. One of them is said to have gone back into the house, while the other allegedly scaled over two fences as he escaped.

In my role as a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it as follows: “On the other side of the fence, I was discovered with an apparent leg injury. The officers attended to me immediately and transported me to Gray Hospital. Regrettably, I didn’t make it; they confirmed my passing there.” He clarified that the wound wasn’t inflicted by the on-site officers. Instead, it occurred during his attempt to escape.

As per Smith’s account, it seemed the man had suffered an injury to his leg, possibly a fracture, and there was bleeding. Importantly, he emphasized that no gunshots were discharged during the event, which is still being investigated.

As his time was drawing near, Young Scooter re-posted birthday greetings and warm sentiments from family, friends, and followers on his social media platforms.

Following his death, his son Kenneth Bailey Jr. shared a tribute to his father.

He posted on Instagram Stories, “Oh no, my dearest friend has left us.” Yet, it’s also your birthday – a joyous occasion. Rest assured, I already know how to proceed, and you can count on me having my family by my side.

In a March 31 tribute to his father, he wrote, “You broke every piece of me that could be broken. I may never fully heal, but I’ll learn to cope with it.
