YouTube Star Alysha Burney Dies Unexpectedly at 25 in Mexico Vacation

The influencer community has suffered a tragic loss. 

Alysha Burney, known for accumulating millions of fans on YouTube and TikTok through her popular parody videos, tragically passed away in her sleep while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This unfortunate event was confirmed by her brother, Charles Burney, to FOX4 News. She was only 25 years old.

Charles shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram on March 10 that his dear sister, Alysha Burney, has sadly passed away. We kindly ask for space and understanding as we mourn during these difficult days.

Her official cause of death has not been shared.

Alysha’s sibling dismissed baseless speculation circulating online regarding her death.

Charles added, “It’s incredibly challenging dealing with the many fabricated stories attempting to tarnish her reputation. We are prepared to pursue legal measures against anyone persistently spreading misinformation about her demise.

In wrapping up his statement, Charles conveyed his heartfelt thanks to everyone who’s extended support during these tough times. He underlined the importance of privacy for his family as they mourn their recent loss. As he put it, “We appreciate all the love and concern people have shown towards her. More details will be shared shortly, but for now, we kindly ask for some space and request that the family’s privacy be respected.

Charles added, “Her legacy will still live on FOREVER!!”

Alysha, who started on YouTube back in February 2013, was a multi-talented content creator, handling roles such as producer, director, and sketch comedian. She amassed an impressive following of more than 1.2 million subscribers on YouTube, along with over 2.4 million followers on TikTok.

Despite achieving fame through her parody series like “Online Classes Are Just Like” and “Podcasts Can Sometimes Feel Like,” Charles mentioned that his late sister, residing in Los Angeles before her demise, still harbored a few aspirations that remained unfulfilled.

In a recent interview with FOX4 News on March 10th, he mentioned that her longstanding ambition was twofold: firstly, to become both a writer and a director, and secondly, to go back to Kansas City, establish a production studio, and aid other budding creative talents from Kansas City in reaching similar success.
