The influencer community is in mourning.
YouTuber P2istheName, whose real name is Philip Enewally, has died. He was 26.
The influencer was found dead in a mail room March 14, according to Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner records obtained by TopMob News. No further details, such as the name of the business or the cause and manner of his death, were made public. The case remains under investigation.
Enewally was best known for sharing NBA 2K and Fortnite as well as other gaming videos. But he also posted glimpses into his personal life, sharing clips with titles such as “A True Day in the Life of a Young Black Millionaire in Los Angeles.” His most recent YouTube clip, posted Feb. 24, was a vlog titled “a regular night with my rich ‘psychotic’ friends.'”
Three days ago, Enewally posted a video detailing why he would be ending his residence in Los Angeles after the current month.
He has spent his entire life living in Los Angeles, as he stated in the clip. He feels that being in this location is where he needs to encounter new people.
He added, “I feel like I want there to be an era in my life where I leave my comfort zone, I leave Los Angeles and I finally take a big leap of faith and I’m not comfortable. I feel like I need that in this stage of my career and just in general.”
Enewally said he plans to move to Atlanta. He also expressed hope of having kids one day and being able to give them advice about where to live.
He suggested that by encountering a wider variety of experiences, one can accumulate greater wisdom and provide clearer explanations.
Additionally, the YouTuber mentioned that he aspired to relocate to an area populated by individuals with similar entrepreneurial mindsets, much like himself.
He remarked that Los Angeles is densely populated. With a multitude of residents, Los Angeles seems to be filled with a wide array of diverse individuals, making it challenging to encounter people similar to oneself because there are just so many unique individuals engaged in various activities.
Many of the influencer’s fans shared tributes to him on social media following news of his death.
“Thank you for the childhood memories, been watching you since 2018,” one person wrote in a comment on his last YouTube video. “You really had a huge impact on our lives. We gonna miss you Phil, RIP.”
