As a fan who has spent countless hours immersed in the magical world of Marvel and DC, I must say that the return of the Russo Brothers to the Marvel Cinematic Universe fills me with uncontainable excitement! Their unique storytelling and ability to create epic battles while keeping the human element intact is simply unparalleled. Zack Snyder’s praise for them only solidifies my belief in their talent.
The Russo Brothers are returning to the Marvel Universe, and Zack Snyder, director of Rebel Moon, shared his thoughts on this significant MCU announcement during a recent interview on CinemaBlend’s ReelBlend podcast. A fan of Joe and Anthony Russo, Snyder sees their return as beneficial for Marvel. Even though he was associated with DC for nearly a decade, Snyder appreciates films that evoke strong emotions in him. Moreover, the director behind Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice acknowledges that talent ultimately triumphs in the end. Listen to his comments below.
“I find that impressive for them! They’re truly remarkable individuals who have accomplished great things with their team. I am confident they will continue to amaze us. Their talent is evident, and I believe they are about to do something exceptional. It’s high time for a change, something exciting!”
Getting The Band Back Together
With the MCU moving closer to The Multiverse Saga’s end, Robert Downey Jr. stirred emotions at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con as well. Recently, he shared his thoughts on rejoining, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. For some time now, Kevin Feige had been strategizing this comeback. During a visit to Bob Iger’s house to discuss expanding the Disney parks, the details of the plan began to crystallize even further. Things moved swiftly from there.
“Previously, I visited Bob’s place, an encounter that is hard to put into words as it ranks among the most extraordinary experiences I’ve had. Another time, we paid a visit to Iger’s place and shared our dreams. He responded with a simple ‘I like it.’ I was taken aback, saying ‘He appreciates it.’ Later, he invited Feige and me to the Imagineering campus. Let me tell you, it’s rare for minds to be blown, but ours were certainly blown there! I can’t reveal much, but what is happening now surpasses my imagination of what could be possible.” This place feels almost spiritual to me.
Downey explained, “It’s the only avenue I found where I could offer an audience yearning for a unique experience, something they might be eagerly anticipating. This path allows me to grow in my passion for entertainment’s future. So, if you’re looking for another place, there isn’t one. It’s this peculiar, intriguing journey that we’re on, and if things fall apart, we can simply re-create what many consider the best film ever made.”
