Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead Universe Reportedly Scrapped by Netflix

As a seasoned gamer and avid fan of Zack Snyder’s cinematic universe, I must say I’m left with a bittersweet feeling upon hearing about the delay of his much-anticipated animated series for “Army of the Dead.” On one hand, it’s a disappointment to have to wait longer for more undead action and world-building. But on the other, the news that “Twilight of the Gods” is still coming gives me hope that we’ll soon be immersed in Norse mythology as never before!

Fans of “Army of the Dead” have received unfortunate news: Zack Snyder’s proposed animated series linked to the movie won’t be happening as previously suggested. However, Netflix isn’t cutting ties with the beloved director just yet – they still have “Twilight of the Gods” scheduled for release this year. Initially, The Wrap reported about the obstacles facing “Army of the Dead,” but Deborah Snyder emphasized that the project isn’t completely dead and buried. She mentioned that there are plans for a Halloween-themed experience at Six Flags parks, providing a glimmer of hope once more.

Just recently, Zack Snyder shared his thoughts about a potential sequel to “Army of the Dead” during an interview with GamesRadar. He expressed his affection for the “Army” universe and elaborated on their ongoing efforts to revive their “Army” animated series. According to Snyder, they had already recorded the entire series, featuring voices from stars like Christian Slater, among others. It sounds like it was a truly enjoyable project.

He stated, “We actually followed a similar approach in creating this vast, cosmic idea, much like Rebel Moon… My vision for Army 2 is ‘Planet of the Dead’, which expands insanely, so I’m incredibly thrilled about it. At the moment, I’m juggling both projects, but I’m really looking forward to sharing more from the Army universe since I’m passionate about it, and I can see that people are eager for more as well.”
