‘Die Alone’ Boasts a Score of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes
In September 2024, the movie titled “Die Alone” made its premiere in cinemas. Critics generally responded favorably to it, giving it an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, although audiences scored it slightly lower at 66% on Popcornmeter. The film’s critics appreciated Carrie-Anne Moss‘ performance and felt that the horror genre was given a more contemporary twist with its unique take.
Leslie Felperin of The Guardian commented, “Moss’s ability to convey mystery and intrigue with her unreadable facial expressions, accentuated by her strikingly chiseled cheekbones, makes her a perfect fit for this role as a puzzling figure cloaked in a worn parka.” Shawn Van Horn from Collider, on the other hand, noted, “Although Die Alone isn’t the most terrifying zombie movie you’ll ever encounter and its second act can seem slow at times, it offers a unique and emotionally engaging experience that is worth exploring if you’re searching for something fresh.
The film “Die Alone” garnered a highly positive response from Rich Cross of Starburst, who gave it a near-top score of 4/5. In his review, he highlighted that the director, Lowell Dean, possesses a unique vision for the dark and eerie, skillfully blending intense and gory action with moments of thoughtful calmness in “Die Alone“. Furthermore, Jeffrey M. Anderson of Common Sense Media praised the movie for presenting “enough fresh perspectives to catch the attention of horror enthusiasts”.
Over the years, I’ve solidified my place as a go-to guy for action movies, thanks to my standout role in 2014’s “The Purge: Anarchy”. Since then, I’ve taken the lead in “The Purge: Election Year” (2016) and I’m excited to continue this journey with another sequel down the line. Next up for me is reprising my role as Rick Flag Sr. in James Gunn’s “Superman”, and I’m also looking forward to working alongside Harvey Keitel, Peter Stormare, and Tyrese Gibson on the action thriller “Hard Matter”.
In a twist of events, Carrie-Anne Moss reprised her beloved character Trinity, opposite Keanu Reeves’ Neo, in the 2021 release “The Matrix Resurrections”. Following this, she is set to collaborate with action legend Arnold Schwarzenegger in the second season of Netflix’s series “FUBAR”.
