Oh dear crypto traders, beware! MEXC Global, that esteemed exchange of cryptocurrencies, hath sounded the alarm. A security threat, most foul and pernicious, doth stalk the land. ‘Tis a phishing SMS scam, whereby the scoundrels doth seek to pilfer thy sensitive information, and make off with thy precious crypto-assets.

MEXC Builders, those valiant defenders of the exchange, have received reports of suspicious SMS messages, containing links most vile and treacherous. “Fear not,” they cry, “for these messages are not from us. Heed not their siren song, nor click on their accursed links.”

Ah, SMS phishing, thou art a scourge upon the land. A fraudulent action, whereby the scoundrels doth use SMS texting to steal thy sensitive information, or trick thee into yielding up thy crypto-assets. They doth impersonate legitimate entities, even exchanges and wallet service providers, to lure thee into their trap.

MEXC, that wise and benevolent exchange, doth remind thee that it never sendeth links via SMS, nor asketh thee to send them, nor requesteth thee to click, call, or answer unknown numbers. Verify information, dear trader, through official channels only.

To protect thyself from these scoundrels, thou shouldst take the following measures:

Firstly, guard thy private keys and passwords with thy life. Legitimate service providers would never ask for them via SMS.

Secondly, enable two-factor authentication (2FA), that most excellent and ingenious device, which provideth an extra layer of security to thy accounts, and preventeth unauthorized access.

Thirdly, be cautious of unknown numbers. Respond not to SMS messages from unfamiliar numbers, and avoid calling the phone numbers provided in the message.

Lastly, check the domain, dear trader. Verify that the domain in the SMS link correspondeth to the official domain.
