007: First Light Discusses Bond’s Immaturity and Skills in Latest Story Trailer

IO Interactive unveiled a new story trailer for their upcoming James Bond game, 007: First Light, during the recent State of Play event. The trailer, available to watch below, is over 90 seconds long and reveals details about James Bond’s character and how he earns his license to kill.

The trailer reveals not only the game’s story but also exciting gameplay moments featuring diverse weapons and vehicles like boats, cars, and planes. It also demonstrates how the game combines fast-paced action with clever social stealth, allowing players to blend into the environment and avoid detection.

Earlier this month, IO Interactive’s CEO, Hakan Abrak, explained how their work on the Hitman series proved valuable while creating 007: First Light. He also pointed out that playing as James Bond presents different challenges compared to playing as Agent 47, and they learned a lot adapting to those differences.

Last December, a new trailer for 007: First Light introduced us to Bawma, a key villain played by Lenny Kravitz. He’s portrayed as the biggest illegal arms dealer in the Western Hemisphere, and in one scene, he even threatens Bond by holding him over a pit of crocodiles.

007: First Light is coming to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2 on May 27th.
