Sony sees a custom DualSense controller as a sign that they really believe in a game, and they’re giving that treatment to their new 007 title, First Light.
IO Interactive’s new James Bond game is getting a special, limited-edition PlayStation 5 controller, and here’s a look at it.
The 007 First Light controller features a gold and black design that mirrors the game’s artwork. It also includes lines leading to the touch pad, a nod to the famous opening gun barrel sequence in James Bond films, and the 007 logo is prominently displayed on the touch pad itself.
According to the game’s art director, Rasmus Poulsen, the controller is designed to commemorate the return of James Bond to video games. Its gold color is a tribute to the franchise’s sophisticated style and enduring history. The controller’s design, inspired by the iconic gun barrel sequence, reflects both the game’s themes and the feeling of playing it, while also referencing a well-known image in popular culture.
This controller will only be available in limited numbers. You can pre-order it starting April 17th, 2026, and it will be released on May 27th – the same day the game comes out.
