IO Interactive has confirmed that musician Lenny Kravitz will appear in the upcoming James Bond game, 007 First Light. The announcement followed an early reveal on the game’s social media channels. Kravitz will play Bawma, a notorious arms dealer known throughout the Western Hemisphere.
He’s a master of dramatic entrances, like when he put James Bond and his friend in danger with crocodiles! While it might be surprising to see Kravitz in this role, he perfectly embodies Bawma – a character who is cool, composed, and delightfully unpredictable.
We’ve already hinted that the main villain isn’t the only threat in the new spy movie. We haven’t learned much about the character 009 yet, except that he managed to escape Bond in a dramatic airplane getaway. Maybe the character Bawma will offer some leads on how Bond can track him down. We’ll have to wait and see.
The new James Bond game, 007 First Light, will be available on March 27, 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. It’s currently unknown if Lana Del Rey will perform the theme song, but there’s still a possibility.
