Okay, so with GTA 6 finally having a release date – November! – it feels like everything else coming out on PlayStation 5 this year can finally get a little more attention. It was hard for any other game to compete with all the GTA hype, but now things feel a bit more balanced, you know?
Both Saros, a roguelite shooter from Housemarque, and the upcoming James Bond game from IO Interactive have recently had their release dates pushed back. Saros was delayed a few weeks, and now the Bond game is facing a delay as well.
Originally due out on 27th March, the title will now launch on 27th May – exactly two months later.
The Danish developer explained that this decision will help them deliver the high-quality experience players expect when the game launches.
It added:
The game is currently complete and can be played from start to finish. We’re using the extra two months to fine-tune everything and make sure it’s the best it can be when it launches. We believe this will help 007 First Light succeed in the long run, and we’re grateful for your patience and support.
The small delay will actually help the game stand out, as February and March are already very crowded with new releases. Moving the launch to May should give it a chance to be the main focus of attention in the gaming world.
