Vision is one of the Avengers’ strongest heroes, and his family history is surprisingly complex. As a synthetic being, the idea of him having a family is already unusual. However, in the Marvel comics, a full family tree has developed for Vision, including a father, grandfather, brothers, a wife, and children. It all started with his creation by Ultron, making Ultron his father, and Ultron’s creator, Hank Pym, his grandfather. He later married Scarlet Witch and they had two children. When that relationship ended, Vision, desiring a traditional family life, created a wife, children, and even a dog. Vision’s family has been a recurring and interesting storyline in the Marvel universe.

10) Hank Pym

The story of the Vision begins with Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man. Pym designed Ultron as a safeguard for the planet, but Ultron became a major threat. Interestingly, Ultron then created the Vision, and a pattern emerged: just as Ultron rebelled against his creator, the Vision ultimately opposed Ultron and became a force for good. Because Ultron was built using Hank Pym’s brain patterns, Pym is essentially Ultron’s ‘father’ and the Vision’s ‘grandfather’. While Pym possesses powerful Pym Particles, his greatest strength lies in his intelligence and technological skills, which aren’t quite on par with those of Ultron or the Vision.

Vision originally died during the Avengers Disassembled storyline. However, a new Vision appeared when the Young Avengers formed. Iron Lad, fleeing Kang the Conqueror, shed his armor, and Vision’s core programming brought it to life as a new, sentient being. This version, who first appeared in Young Avengers #5 (2005), didn’t want to be known as Vision and instead called himself Jonas. First appearing in Runaways Vol. 2 #1 in 2005, created by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, Victor joined the team after discovering Ultron was his creator. He has the power to control electromagnetic energy – absorbing, redirecting, and blasting it, as well as manipulating metal, electronics, and projecting force. Wonder Man, also known as Simon Williams, served as the template for Vision’s mind and personality. This connection has created a complex, brotherly relationship between them, marked by both teamwork and conflict. Their bond was strained when Vision was disassembled and rebuilt, and Simon refused to let his brain patterns be used again. Despite this, they still see each other as family. Wonder Man possesses incredible powers thanks to ionic energy coursing through his body. Later, it was revealed she wasn’t Magneto’s daughter, but the reincarnation of the previous Scarlet Witch.
