10 Strongest Image Comics Superheroes, Ranked

Besides DC and Marvel, Image Comics is a major force in the comic book world. For more than three decades, they’ve published a huge number of popular stories and characters, often experimenting with new ideas. What sets Image apart is that most of its comics are owned by the creators themselves, rather than the company. As a result, many of these creators have developed incredibly strong and powerful heroes – some with abilities that rival even the most famous characters from DC and Marvel. These heroes, ranging from aliens to magical beings, represent the most powerful figures Image Comics has created.

Image Comics is known for letting its heroes fight without limits, allowing them to perform incredible feats of strength. Unlike some other universes, their heroes aren’t held back by strict moral codes. While characters like Angela, the WildC.A.T.s, and the Authority are powerful, they now belong to other comic publishers and won’t be included in this list. From a vast number of superheroes and worlds, these are considered the most powerful.

10) Atom Eve

Samantha Wilkins, known as Atom Eve, was created through a government experiment designed to produce super-soldiers. The scientist in charge secretly placed her with a regular family to protect her from being used as a weapon. As she grew, Eve discovered she could control matter at its most basic level, letting her create energy, fly, heal from deadly injuries, and even reverse her age to extend her lifespan. She’s used these powers to revitalize wastelands into productive farms, easily defeat opponents like Bulletproof, severely injure Conquest, and eliminate several Viltrumite hybrids. However, Atom Eve has a significant limitation: because of mental blocks placed by her creators, she can only fully use her powers on living beings when she’s close to death.

9) Allen the Alien

The Viltrumite Empire is a terrifying force in the universe, so the Unopans created a superpowered hero named Allen the Alien to fight back. Allen was genetically engineered and possesses incredible strength and the ability to heal quickly, making him a protector of the Unopans and their allies. What truly sets him apart is his ability to become even stronger after nearly dying. After just one close call, Allen gained enough power to defeat Viltrumite soldiers, destroy spaceships, fly incredibly close to the sun, and hold his own against extremely powerful beings like Omni-Man and Invincible.

8) Lady Liberty

In the series Jupiter’s Legacy, Chloe Sampson is the daughter of two of the world’s most famous superheroes, Utopian and Lady Liberty. Although she inherited their incredible powers – including super strength, speed, flight, telekinesis, and a sonic scream – Chloe initially didn’t want to follow in their footsteps. Everything changed when her brother and uncle staged a violent takeover of the United States and killed her parents. Driven to action, Chloe, along with her boyfriend and son, led a rebellion that overthrew her brother and uncle. She ultimately took on her mother’s heroic identity as Lady Liberty. Chloe is incredibly powerful – she can move at near light-speed, stop a tsunami with a shout, and even delivered a punch on Mars that was visible from Earth.

7) Redeemer

The Redeemer is essentially Heaven’s answer to Spawn, designed as their most powerful warrior. While different villains have taken on the role, the current Redeemer, Eddie Frank, is a genuine hero. Like all Redeemers before him, Eddie is equipped with powerful angelic armor and wings, granting him incredible abilities such as super strength, flight, teleportation, the ability to change matter and shape, and the power to project intense fire. This fire is incredibly destructive – as strong as a solar flare and capable of instantly destroying buildings, demons, and even angels. Eddie’s sword is equally formidable, able to cut through anything, including a person’s soul. He’s one of the very few beings capable of going toe-to-toe with Spawn, even when Spawn is at his absolute strongest and capable of causing planetary shockwaves.

6) Pitt

Pitt, from Image Comics, is a powerful, monstrous being similar to the Hulk. Created by alien invaders called the Creed, he escaped and became a fierce protector of Earth, brutally defending it from any threat. Pitt’s unique biology gives him incredible strength, the ability to heal quickly, and deadly claws. He can also use his mind to locate enemies from far away. Pitt is unbelievably strong – capable of lifting the Brooklyn Bridge, going toe-to-toe with both the Hulk and a powered-up Supreme, and even defeating incredibly powerful foes like Ural Thaal, a villain who could destroy planets.

5) Omni-Man

Nolan Grayson, better known as Omni-Man, initially arrived on Earth as a secret agent for the Viltrumite Empire, with a mission to conquer the planet. However, he dramatically changed over time, ultimately becoming a genuine hero – the very role he had previously only pretended to play. At the beginning of the Invincible series, Omni-Man was considered the most powerful hero, boasting incredible strength, speed, and the ability to fly. Thanks to millennia of training on Viltrum, he was also an exceptionally skilled and formidable warrior. He easily defeated the Guardians of the Globe, almost killed Invincible in a brutal fight, survived escaping a black hole, redirected a massive asteroid the size of Texas, and even played a key role in destroying Viltrum – a planet much larger than Earth.

4) Invincible

Let me tell you about Mark Grayson, also known as Invincible. This guy is seriously the strongest hero in his world, and he’s earned that title. He’s been knocked down countless times, but each time he gets back up stronger. He made the brave choice to reject his Viltrumite father’s plans for galactic domination, and since then, he’s taken down some truly terrifying villains – planet-busters, honestly. By the end of his story, he’s not just matching his father’s power, he’s surpassing it. We’re talking about a hero who helped dismantle the Viltrum planet, survived a fight on the surface of a star, tore through dozens of Viltrumite hybrids, and routinely flies faster than light. And the big ones? He took down Conquest and Thragg – the Viltrumite Empire’s absolute strongest warriors. Invincible isn’t just powerful, he’s a legend.

3) Suprema

Sally Crane, also known as Suprema and the adopted sister of the superhero Supreme, gained incredible powers after being exposed to a radioactive substance called Superium – the same way her brother did. This exposure granted her superhuman strength and speed, the ability to fly, heat vision, and a powerful sonic scream. Second only to her brother in terms of power, Suprema can easily accomplish feats on a cosmic scale. She’s caused earthquakes, instantly vaporized massive avalanches, traveled countless light-years in mere seconds, endured a supernova explosion, destroyed entire planets, and even sealed a black hole. But perhaps her most remarkable achievement was lifting a snow globe containing the entire universe just one inch off a table.

2) Supreme

Ethan Crane, known as Supreme, is Image Comics’ take on a Superman-like hero – sometimes depicted as a flawed individual, other times as a true protector. He gained amazing powers – including super strength, speed, flight, heat and x-ray vision, energy absorption, freeze breath, and even the ability to survive events retroactively – after exposure to a substance called Superium. What really sets him apart is his ability to adapt and become stronger when facing new threats, even becoming immune to attacks that alter reality. Supreme’s powers are immense; he’s flown faster than light, moved entire continents, split atoms, and destroyed planets, stars, and black holes. Given that his sister, Suprema, is significantly less powerful, Supreme is likely capable of feats at a universal scale.

1) Spawn

Spawn, the first and most powerful superhero created by Image Comics, is a major threat to both Heaven and Hell. Al Simmons, the man behind the mask, died and made a deal with the demon Malebolgia: he’d lead Hell’s army in exchange for a chance to see his wife again. Transformed into the incredibly powerful anti-hero Spawn, Al quickly sought revenge when Malebolgia broke their agreement. As the strongest Hellspawn ever created, Spawn has a vast array of powers including super strength, healing, telepathy, control over the elements, the ability to create weapons, and even manipulate souls and time. With these abilities, he’s accomplished incredible feats – surviving complete annihilation, ripping a hole in reality, defeating the universe-level threat Urizen, rebuilding the world after it was destroyed, and even overcoming both God and Satan at the same time.
