10 Things we know about The Devil wears Prada 2

In the year 2006, the movie “The Devil Wears Prada” became a massive success, raking in $326 million at the box office, receiving two Oscar nominations, and establishing Emily Blunt as a star. Now, nearly twenty years later, we’re excited to share with you 10 Things we know about The Devil Wears Prada 2, as filming has commenced.

1. Meryl Streep , Emily Blunt, Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci return in their roles
2. The film is set to shoot in New York and Italy
3. Kenneth Branagh joins the cast who is set to play Miranda Priestly’s (Streep’s) husband,
4. Adrian Grenier who played Hathaway’s character’s boyfriend, Nate, in the first movie, will not be in the sequel
5. The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be released on 1st May 2026.
6. Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak and Pauline Chalamet will also have undisclosed roles. Broadway stars Helen J. Shen and Conrad Ricamora plus comedian Caleb Hearon, will also appear in the movie. Tracie Thoms, who played Andy’s best friend Lily, and Tibor Feldman, who portrayed the chairman of Runway’s parent company, will reprise their roles in the sequel too
7. The story reportedly follows  the terrifying former editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Streep) of Runway (the magazine in the original film) as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She faces off against Blunt’s character, her one-time assistant who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury group, with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.
8. David Frankel will return to direct, having helmed Marley & Me, Hope Springs and Collateral Beauty in the interim. The original film’s producer, Wendy Finerman, is also coming back.
9.  The release date is the weekend before fashion’s biggest night, the Met Gala, which always takes place on the first Monday in May.
