1000-lb Sisters’ Amy Slaton Details “Haunted” Brian Lovvorn Wedding

Amy Slaton prefers her dream wedding to be a nightmare.

The star of 1000-lb Sisters and her husband, Brian Lovvorn, actually requested a spooky, “haunted” theme for their Halloween wedding.

Amy joked to her wedding planner that their bridesmaids would be ghosts, as revealed in an exclusive preview of the TLC show’s season eight premiere with TopMob News. She clarified she meant actual ghosts, not people dressed up as them.

The bride, 38, mentioned that not all of her wedding guests are happy about her plan to share her wedding vows with some spirits.

Amy said she’s hoping her siblings will participate, but they’re hesitant because of the haunted aspect, and their religious beliefs and personal issues make it difficult.

As Amy’s wedding planner noted, many brides “will book a year ahead” to secure the location.

“I didn’t know Brian a year ago,” Amy quipped. “I only know him 10 months ago.”

Amy and Brian, a couple who got engaged after only five months of dating – famously inside a haunted house – originally wanted to get married at the reportedly haunted Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Kentucky. However, they ultimately chose to have their wedding at Talbott Tavern Restaurant & Inn, another location known for paranormal activity.

Amy and her partner got married on October 31st, 2025. Amy wore a sleeveless lace wedding dress with a veil and a black tiara as she walked down the aisle.

She told People that marrying Brian ended her loneliness because he truly makes her happy. She described him as incredibly kind and caring, saying anyone who gets to know him will love him.

 

Amy, who shares 5-year-old Gage Deon and 3-year-old Glenn Allen with her ex-husband Michael Halterman, shared about her fiancé, saying she loves how he motivates her to grow, consistently puts her and her sons’ needs first, and prioritizes their well-being.
